Donald Trump opened the door to conspiracy theories with his comments on who he believes was responsible for the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
The assassination of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, in Dallas, Texas, in November 1963, remains a significant historical event.
At 43, Kennedy, often called JFK, was fatally shot while traveling in his motorcade.
Authorities have consistently maintained that Lee Harvey Oswald, a marine veteran, was the assassin. Oswald was positioned in the sixth-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository around 12:30 p.m.
While in police custody, Oswald was being transferred to a city jail when a nightclub operator named Jack Ruby shot him. Oswald later succumbed to his injuries.
Recently, President Trump expressed his views on the JFK assassination while reflecting on the release of declassified JFK files.
During a conversation with Clay Travis from OutKick on Air Force One, Trump was asked if he believed Oswald was the sole perpetrator. Trump replied, “I do.”
“I do and I’ve always felt that,” he continued.
Nevertheless, Trump entertained the idea of other theories and questioned, “Of course, was he helped?”
Numerous conspiracy theories suggest Oswald had assistance, implicating the US government, the Mafia, the CIA, the Cuban government, the KGB, and other influential global entities.
However, all current evidence indicates that Oswald acted alone.
Those hoping for more substantiation of their theories were disappointed when the JFK files were released earlier this month.
Shortly after taking office, Trump signed an executive order to release classified documents on the assassination, but the 80,000 pages disclosed revealed little new information.
Many individuals on social media pointed out that the released content had already been made public by the Biden administration two years earlier.
One Twitter user remarked: “Just ran the JFK files through chat gpt. It’s the same stuff Biden released. MAGAs got played again.”
Another commented: “The JFK Files contain REDACTED versions of files that have already been released un-redacted. Just like with the Epstein Files. We’ve been played.”
A third person reacted: “WOW! Did Trump really just release all of the same JFK files that Biden released in 2023?”
