Jennifer Coolidge has revealed that her role in White Lotus has had a more significant impact on her sex life than her part in the 90s movie American Pie.
The actress shared that her involvement in the TV series White Lotus has gone beyond just financial benefits and earning an Emmy; it has positively influenced her personal life.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Coolidge opened up about how the show has enhanced her romantic life, despite her character being somewhat unconventional.
The 63-year-old actress expressed her surprise at the positive effects, noting, “Even though I play a complete weirdo in White Lotus, cute guys come up to me.”
She reflected on how this experience differs from her iconic role as Stifler’s mom in the 1999 film American Pie, which initially established her as a sex symbol.
Previously, Coolidge had acknowledged that her American Pie role had positively affected her dating life. During a 2022 interview with Ariana Grande for Entertainment Weekly, she remarked, “It helped my dating life in a way that I can’t ever explain. If I hadn’t had that movie, I don’t think … Well, let’s just say it would’ve been a very dull decade.”
Coolidge highlighted that White Lotus surpasses American Pie in terms of its impact, stating, “This is far better than ‘American Pie’ because people were really sad about Tanya falling off a boat. These men like you better because they feel that you went through something. That show really upped my game!”
The actress recalled an encounter in New Orleans where a man approached her, despite not being successful in his attempt, she appreciated the gesture. Describing the encounter, she said, “He had a T-shirt on that his belly came out of, plus red cowboy boots. He was 4 feet 11 inches and he said, ‘Would you like to go out?’ And, well, there was nothing wrong with him, but you have this idea that Brad Pitt or whoever will sweep you off your feet.”
Coolidge humorously noted how White Lotus has been a game-changer, indicating that not just individuals like the man she described, but others are now asking her out.
