Seth Rogan recently disclosed the alarming reason he abstained from cannabis for three days.
If you randomly select a name from Hollywood’s well-known cannabis enthusiasts, chances are high that Rogan’s name would appear frequently.
His films frequently incorporate cannabis, his daily routine often involves a bong, and he exudes a laid-back demeanor, indicating that the cannabis lifestyle suits him well.
Seth Rogan, alongside Snoop Dogg, even offered guidance to beginners on how to properly partake in cannabis consumption.
It’s important to note, before anyone raises concerns, that this is not an endorsement of drug use. However, given the popularity of cannabis, it’s crucial that individuals know how to use it responsibly.
During a 2022 conversation with Howard Stern, Rogen and Snoop discussed their experiences of getting high together. Snoop emphasized the importance of pacing oneself.
That advice is certainly sound.
Despite his fondness for cannabis, Snoop recently announced on Instagram that he has stopped smoking, stating: “After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
In a similar vein, Rogan once took a brief hiatus from cannabis for a rather unsettling reason.
On the Howard Stern Show, Rogen recounted an occasion when he refrained from smoking for three days.
“I was in Singapore once, you can’t smoke weed there.
“Other than that, I think in 2012- 2011, I was in Singapore for three days. So those days I didn’t smoke weed.”
Why abstain in Singapore?
Their stringent drug laws pose serious consequences, far more severe than just jail time.
Rogan explained: “Cause they’ll literally f****** kill you if you smoke weed in that country.”
“They put that little thing in your passport when you arrive, and it says ‘if we find drugs on you, we will execute you’.”
He added, recounting a common travel mishap: “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve flown places and then got there and opened a pocket or something and it’d be like, oh sh**, there’s a roach in my pocket.”
Describing his experience as a ‘scary walkthrough at the airport in Singapore’, he revealed this was the reason behind his short break from cannabis.
For those curious about other prominent names in the hypothetical hat mentioned earlier, they include James Franco, Tommy Chong, and Woody Harrelson.
Singapore maintains a notably strict stance on drug-related offences, contributing to its relatively drug-free status.

The Central Narcotics Bureau highlights: “Our drug control policies are also underpinned by evidence and research. Cannabis is clearly addictive and harmful, and there is no scientific evidence of the safety and efficacy of raw cannabis use.
“This supports our position that cannabis should remain an illicit drug. Decriminalisation and legalisation of cannabis is not the way to go, especially when our drug situation is well under control.”
Possession or consumption of cannabis can lead to up to 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine, or both.
Trafficking, importing, or exporting the drug might result in the death penalty.
That is indeed frightening.
