If Eminem mentions you in a song, it’s likely that he’s not holding back.
Over the years, Eminem has released diss tracks targeting celebrities like Mariah Carey, Will Smith, and Machine Gun Kelly. He’s also made remarks about Diddy dating back to 1996. But would he target someone much younger than himself?
In 2020, Billie Eilish admitted that she was ‘terrified’ of Eminem, and he responded by mentioning her in one of his tracks.
During an interview with Noisey a few years ago, Eilish confessed that one of her childhood fears was the rapper known as the real Slim Shady.
She explained, “I was scared of Eminem. My whole life. Always. I, dude, terrified. That dude freaked the f**k out of me. Oh my God.”
While it’s understandable not to want to be on Eminem’s bad side, claiming a phobia might be a bit excessive. However, considering she was 18 at the time, a little drama can be expected.
Naturally, Eminem responded in his signature style by naming Eilish in one of his songs.
In ‘Alfred’s Theme’, he raps: “Homicidal visions when I’m spitting like this / But really I’m just fulfilling my wish of killing rhymes which is really childish / And silly, but I’m really like this, I’m giving nightmares to Billie Eilish.”
Whether this verse eased Eilish’s fear or intensified it is unclear, but it’s likely she appreciated the mention.
Fans of both artists found the situation amusing and took to social media to express their thoughts.
Some even suggested that Eilish is more intimidating than Eminem.
A YouTube commenter noted, “All her music videos are creepy as hell and Eminem’s the one giving her nightmares??!!!”
Another added, “She’s scarier than he is – he’s just brutally honest.. there’s a difference.”
Others joked about how Eminem often incorporates any mention of him into his lyrics.
One user remarked, “Man Eminem hears and knows everything anyone has ever said about him, then puts them in his songs.”
Another chimed in, “And then Eminem proceeded to traumatise her further.”
