Women Share Insights on What Truly Makes Men Great in Bed, and It May Surprise You

A recent survey has provided insights into what women consider crucial when evaluating whether a man is ‘good in bed’.

Despite concerns over average global penis sizes, a recent study suggests that these measurements are not a determining factor in sexual prowess.

Elite Daily conducted a survey involving 100 women aged between 19 and 50 to uncover the real factors that contribute to a man’s performance in bed.

Participants were given a list of 15 potential actions by a man, and they rated each as ‘very important,’ ‘somewhat important’, or ‘not important’ in influencing their perception of his skills in bed.

An overwhelming 96 percent of women valued a man’s ability to take charge in the bedroom, while also listening and being receptive to their preferences.

Creativity and experimentation with new positions were also vital, with 86 percent of participants expressing a desire for variety beyond the missionary position, and highlighting that altering the rhythm is equally important.

So sometimes, a more cinematic approach like in “50 Shades of Grey,” and other times a softer touch reminiscent of “Normal People,” can be ideal.

Another key factor is stamina.

While physical appearance like a six-pack isn’t necessary, 90 percent of women emphasized the importance of sustaining energy throughout the session for mutual enjoyment. However, only 33 percent were concerned with the speed of a man’s climax, with the majority preferring the session to continue until satisfaction is achieved.

Next, the topic shifted to communication in bed.

When it comes to dirty talk, 53 percent of women advised against going overboard to avoid being off-putting, while 74 percent found simple, straightforward comments more appealing.

Perhaps a simple ‘You’re so sexy’ is all it takes.

Foreplay was highlighted as crucial.

Many women cannot climax from penetration alone, making foreplay an essential aspect of intimacy. A significant 86 percent of respondents stressed its importance, with 90 percent noting that even basic actions like kissing can be sufficient.

Cunnilingus, or oral sex performed on a woman, is also a significant factor. If a man is not willing to perform it, 82 percent of women questioned his prowess in bed.

A notable 73 percent of respondents considered it important for a man to be interested in helping them reach orgasm, while 89 percent valued the ability to recognize when it might not happen and to avoid overexertion.

Being mindful of different preferences and communicating effectively is key.

Consensual roughness was noted by 75 percent of women as desirable, along with the importance of aftercare and cuddling, if preferred.

Maintaining open communication is crucial for ensuring that sexual experiences are positive and enjoyable.

In conclusion, 84 percent of women believed that being receptive to feedback during intimacy is a hallmark of a man who is skilled in bed. Whether through verbal or non-verbal cues, staying attentive and asking questions can enhance mutual enjoyment.
