If you’re worried about infidelity but can’t afford a private investigator, there might be a reliable way to determine if your partner is straying.
With numerous warnings about potential pitfalls in relationships, the prospect of staying single can seem more appealing.
Whether it’s an expert cautioning about the ‘slippery slope’ of certain relationship trends that could lead to a breakup or your partner actually being unfaithful, identifying the signs isn’t as simple as monitoring their phone usage if you have doubts—and you certainly don’t want to make accusations without evidence.
Interestingly, Connecticut PI Ray Ranno shared an observation from his experience during stakeouts of suspected male cheaters. They tend to perform a specific routine before meeting their mistress.
While Ranno mentions that stakeouts can often be dull, they become more engaging when certain signs appear, enabling him to anticipate what might happen next.
During an appearance on the Locked In with Ian Bick podcast earlier this year, Ranno offered his professional insight.
“If a guy’s going to pick up his sweetie on the side, he wants a clean car,” noted Ranno.
He explained that men frequently ensure their vehicle is spotless before proceeding with their unfaithful activities.
“As soon as somebody goes to the car wash I think ‘Ha ha, what’s next?’ It’s amazing how they do that. Women not so much. Women don’t do it so much because they usually jump in the guy’s car, men always want to drive. It’s very rare that I see a guy jump into a female’s car,” he continued.
After the pair rendezvous, Ranno begins gathering evidence for the client who hired him.
Ranno also dispelled the cliché of a detective in a fedora and trench coat simply taking photos from a car.
He elaborated on his use of modern gadgets to catch people in compromising situations.
While he does possess a long-lens camera for capturing photo and video evidence, Ranno also utilizes a decoy coffee cup equipped with a high-definition camera, allowing him to discreetly observe and record.
“If I go into a coffee place, or a supermarket wherever I need to be, I just take the lid off turn it on put the cap on and it looks like I’m walking around with a coffee. Meantime I’m videotaping everything,” he explained.
Once collected, the evidence is sent to the individual who suspects they are being cheated on.
So, it might be wise to pay attention not just to your partner’s phone but their car as well.
