A man with what is termed a ‘micro-penis’ has shared that there are certain unexpected advantages to his condition.
The Cleveland Clinic reports that about 1.5 in every 10,000 newborns in the United States are born with a micro-penis, impacting roughly 0.6 percent of the global population.
This rare health issue can influence sexual relationships. However, a British couple, Jake Timms and his partner, Penny, have stated that his 2.8-inch erection does not disappoint.
Recently, a 31-year-old shared on Reddit how he feels fortunate despite having a ‘truly severe micro-penis’, which measures just over an inch when erect.
He explained that he was diagnosed with this pre-birth defect and does not suffer from any other conditions or syndromes.
Although a phalloplasty could potentially increase his size by constructing an artificial shaft using donor skin from the arm, he mentioned that it is a significant and complex procedure, discouraged in several countries.
“I’ve been advised against it as it’s complex and risky to reconnect nerves. Having a tiny penis is one thing. Not having feeling another,” he explained.
Opening up the floor for questions about his condition, he mentioned that there are certain perks to it.
One benefit is that he has never experienced a urinary tract infection (UTI), which can cause pain and impact the kidneys or bladder.
The Mayo Clinic lists symptoms of a UTI as a persistent, strong urge to urinate, a burning sensation when urinating, and urine that may appear cloudy, red, bright pink, or cola-colored with a bad odor.
If a UTI spreads to the kidneys, it can lead to serious health issues.
He noted this as a definite advantage.
The most significant benefit for him, though, is avoiding embarrassing situations.
“When I was younger I often had erections when getting nervous,” he explained. “So when you have a micropenis at least no one sees you have a boner when presenting in front of the class.”
Some, like Jake and Penny, suggest that men with a micro-penis can surmount potential bedroom challenges by thinking creatively.
A Reddit user shared that his childhood friend with a micro-penis has successfully embraced his unique anatomy.
“He invests a lot in his appearance, works out, tailored clothes. He’s fine AF,” they said. “He learned a lot about pleasure. Dated women, had some bad experiences, cheating, humiliation. He takes his oral and toy games seriously.”
“Years later, his wife eats out of his palm. He punches FAR above average in the bedroom because he’s humble and resourceful AF.”
Another user commented on the topic, stating that they ended a relationship with a less-endowed partner not due to size, but because he viewed it as a personality flaw.
“He had hands, toys would’ve worked too, if he wasn’t so insecure it could’ve worked out. A good attitude works wonders in this situation,” they noted.
Jake echoed a common sentiment to The Sun: “It’s not the size that matters, but what you do with it.”
