Donald Trump Jr., alongside Trump megadonor Omeed Malik, has launched an exclusive club for supporters of the former president, characterized by a substantial waiting list and a significant membership fee. This membership costs more than a luxury gym equipped with amenities like a sauna and a smoothie bar.
The club, known as the ‘Executive Branch,’ was developed by Donald Trump Jr. and Malik, in collaboration with several other Trump investors. Its inception followed the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on April 26.
Politico disclosed details of the club’s inaugural ‘exclusive gathering,’ which was by invitation only. The event’s location, reportedly The Occidental restaurant near the White House, was kept confidential until attendees confirmed their RSVP.
Among the attendees at the first meeting were White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, deputy FBI director Dan Bongino, and White House deputy chiefs of staff Taylor Budowich and James Blair.
According to Politico and two anonymous sources, the Executive Branch will be situated in Georgetown, Washington DC, aiming to become the most upscale private club in the city. The club targets individuals interested in fostering connections with the Trump administration, making membership exclusive.
Membership requires a steep fee exceeding $500,000, ensuring only dedicated individuals apply. The specifics of membership benefits, like a badge or secret handshake, remain a mystery.
The official club website states that membership is ‘invitation-only,’ with the waiting list for new members currently closed. The list undergoes an ‘annual review,’ according to the site.
Sources informed Axios that the club will feature a bar, lounge, restaurant, and boardroom, attracting interest from ‘the donor community and the international community.’ Members will have the opportunity to network with Trump advisers and cabinet members away from media scrutiny.
In addition to Trump Jr. and Malik, the Executive Branch is co-owned by Malik’s business partner Chris Buskirk, and Zach and Alex Witkoff, sons of Trump envoy Steve Witkoff. Founding members include venture capitalists David Sacks and Chamath Palihapitiya, and investors Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.
