Netflix users continue to indulge in a drama series that, despite being canceled, is said to improve as it progresses.
The streaming giant is known for axing shows after just a few seasons.
However, some series, such as Black Mirror and You, have enjoyed extended runs, with You recently concluding its fifth season.
With approximately 7,000 titles on Netflix’s US platform, it’s not surprising that some shows have flown under the radar over time.
Though it debuted in 2019, this two-season horror series is still being discovered by viewers who are left eager for more.
The show has been likened to a blend of the Harry Potter and Twilight series, capturing the best elements of both.
The series stars Jake Manley, known for his role in iZombie, and follows college student Jack Morton who becomes part of the Hermetic Order of the Blue Rose—a secret society focused on magic.
Complications arise when Jack is unwillingly inducted into the Knights of Saint Christopher—werewolves tasked with preventing the misuse of magic.
Throughout the two seasons, Jack deals with betrayal, shifting dynamics, and personal tragedies while striving to protect those he loves.
The show is titled The Order.

Viewers commend the series for its mix of fantasy, drama, and dark comedy that keeps them engaged. Impressively, both seasons have achieved a perfect 100 percent rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics.
Critics have highlighted the show’s ‘tongue in cheek’ humor and ‘engaging characters.’
Fans believe the series improved with each season, leaving many disappointed at its cancellation.
“I enjoyed Season 1. Great story line & characters. Season 2 continues to keep us wanting more. There is just the right amount of humor and drama,” one fan commented.
Another viewer described it as ‘great binge watching material,’ while a third added: “Great show with lots of unexpected twists. Totally binge worthy. Keeps you on your toes.”
A fourth fan even noted that the ‘plot and story arc’ of season two was ‘even better’.
Unfortunately, The Order was canceled by Netflix in 2020 after two seasons, likely due to lower-than-expected viewership.
Had there been a third season, the storyline would have taken exciting turns, as creator Dennis Heaton hinted at future plot ideas.
“PS – Jack was totally going to raise Alyssa from the dead, but she was going to come back wrong. Like, Pet Sematary wrong. Probably possessed by Zecchia. And a whole bunch of other corpses were coming back with her.” he tweeted.
Both seasons of The Order are currently available for streaming on Netflix.
