DC fans have been eagerly awaiting a proper glimpse of the new Superman movie, and director James Gunn has finally delivered on that anticipation, hinting that viewers hadn’t yet seen ‘trailer 1.0’.
While the creators of the DC Universe film have generously shared behind-the-scenes content and teasers in recent months, Gunn clarified in April that these were not representative of the official trailer.
Back then, Gunn expressed his excitement for fans to see the genuine preview of his forthcoming film, stating: “You haven’t even seen trailer 1.0 yet – only a teaser and a sneak peek!”
Now, the official trailer has been released, following initial images showcasing David Corenswet as the latest incarnation of the legendary superhero, known in his everyday life as Clark Kent.
The movie features a star-studded cast including Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, alongside Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi, among others.

The film is set in the early phase of Superman’s adventurous career and explores his struggle to maintain kindness in a world that views it as outdated.
Alongside this personal battle, Superman encounters a new antagonist, previously teased as the ‘Hammer of Boravia’.
The release of the trailer has been met with enthusiasm from fans, with one commenting, “Let’s Goooo. Looking forward to this, it looks Amazing.”
Another fan simply stated, “GENIUS.”
Superman has undergone numerous portrayals over the years, but David Corenswet is ready to embrace the role.
In fact, he is so committed that he would be content if it became the sole focus of his acting career.
In an interview with Time Magazine, Corenswet remarked: “Would this be worth doing if this was the only thing I do as an actor for the rest of my life? I think the answer is yes.”
James Gunn also commended Corenswet’s suitability for the role, telling the magazine: “I’ve seen sets that cater to an actor or director’s ego and that’s just not something that would happen with David. He is Superman, even in his nerdiness. He listens to old jazz standards. Like that’s what he listens to, just as normal procedure. Like Superman, he’s a simple man in complicated times.”
The new Superman movie is scheduled to hit theaters on July 11.
