Netflix baffles viewers by posting a risqué image of Steve Carrell with Four Seasons co-star in bed

Netflix has stirred some confusion among fans of one of its leading TV dramas by sharing a set of sultry photos featuring two of its cast members.

The streaming platform scored a hit with The Four Seasons, a comedy miniseries crafted by and starring Tina Fey alongside a star-studded ensemble.

The eight-episode series, which debuted at the beginning of the month, quickly climbed the Netflix TV charts, amassing more viewing hours than the final season of You.

The narrative centers on the lives of three couples: one that is unhappy, another affluent, and the third deeply in love.

These three couples embark on four vacations together, each during a different season, and the story explores the evolution of their relationships not just with their partners but with each other as well.

Steve Carell features as Nick Callan, a man in the throes of a midlife crisis. During a spring trip, he shocks everyone by declaring his intention to leave his wife, Anne (played by Kerri Kenney-Silver), and introduces his significantly younger girlfriend, Ginny (Erika Henningsen).

This announcement shakes up the group’s dynamics as they navigate themes of aging, friendship, and self-discovery.

In the series’ second-to-last episode, viewers experience a dramatic twist: Carell’s character is unexpectedly killed off.

The ending left many viewers devastated, and not everyone was pleased with how things concluded.

However, on Tuesday (May 13), Netflix’s official Instagram account shared a set of playful images of Ginny and Nick together.

The photos include Ginny playfully slapping Nick’s backside on a balcony and another scene of them snuggled in bed together, seemingly undressed.

“Memorializing Ginny’s photos of Nicky on the grid like they deserve,” read the caption accompanying the post.

Reactions from fans were mixed, with some being especially enthralled, particularly by Carell.

“Steve Carell being HOT was not on my 2025 list! But here we are!” exclaimed one fan, while another added, “Steve Carell is hot now. Didn’t see that one coming.”

Aside from Carell’s transformation, the series received a significant amount of praise. Mostly…

Referring to their on-screen relationship in The Four Seasons, one fan commented, “They really loved each other,” and another noted, “Best couples of all time.”

Nevertheless, some fans seemed confused, mistakenly believing the two were a couple off-screen as well.

“Guys, they are NOT married!” one individual clarified, continuing, “Erika is 32 married to Kyle Selig, and Steve Carrell is 62 and married to Nancy Carell! This is just for the show!”

Interestingly, Nancy appeared in The Office as the real estate agent and ex-girlfriend of Michael Scott, played by her real-life husband, Steve.

The comedy series, which also stars Kenney-Silver as well as Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani, has become a significant success for Netflix, outperforming You season five in viewership numbers.

The Four Seasons premiered on May 1 and has garnered a staggering 53.9 million hours watched.

In contrast, You’s final season, which was released a week earlier on April 24, has only achieved 45.3 million hours viewed.

To put it in perspective, the final season of You is being watched at an average of approximately 2.3 million hours daily, compared to The Four Seasons’ 4.1 million hours daily.

Consequently, the Carell-led miniseries is being viewed at nearly twice the daily rate of Joe Goldberg’s story, accumulating 8.6 million more hours overall.

Fans are eagerly anticipating another installment of The Four Seasons, though Netflix has yet to announce if a continuation has been approved.

Since the series was initially planned as a limited series, a second season seems unlikely.

Stay tuned for updates on this.
