Researchers Assert Discovery of Noah’s Ark Site with Surprising New Scan Data

Researchers have announced the discovery of what they believe to be the precise location of Noah’s Ark, identified through groundbreaking radar scans.

The tale of Noah’s Ark is recounted in the Book of Genesis in the Bible, where it describes a massive flood that nearly annihilates the world, sparing only those aboard Noah’s vast ship.

Those who believe in the Ark estimate it would have been about one and a half football fields long. It remains a mystery how Noah managed to house a pair of every animal species on Earth aboard his vessel.

However, American scientists now claim to have solved this ancient puzzle. They have used ground-penetrating radar technology to locate what could be the Ark’s remains, embedded in the terrain of Turkey.

Andrew Jones, an independent researcher involved in the study, spoke to the Christian Broadcasting Network, stating: “It is exactly what you’d expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah’s Ark.”

Jones and his team are part of Noah’s Ark Scans, which he describes as a ‘loose organization’ dedicated to conducting scientific research at the Ark’s location.

The team commenced their scanning efforts in the mountains of eastern Turkey, approximately 18 miles south of Mount Ararat. This area aligns with the biblical description of where the Ark came to rest, leading to their significant discovery.

The specific location is known as the Durupinar site, which not only bears a resemblance to a boat-shaped mound but also measures 538 feet in length, matching the dimensions of the Ark described in the Bible, according to the New York Post.

The radar detected a 13-foot ‘tunnel’ traversing the center of the formation, the Daily Mail reported, along with underground layers and structures resembling ‘central and side corridors or hallways.’

The researchers believe this evidence aligns with Genesis 6:16, where Noah is instructed to build ‘lower, second and third decks.’

Intriguingly, angular formations about 20 feet below the surface were also found, which the team speculates could have been part of the lower decks.

Additionally, they note that even the organic material growing on the site supports their hypothesis.

Jones mentioned: “We noticed that the grass growing within the boat-shaped formation is a different color compared to the area just outside it.”

Upon examination, they discovered lower pH levels in the soil within the formation compared to outside it, suggesting ‘consistent with rotting wood’ and a possible human origin.

William Crabtree, another researcher with Noah’s Ark Scans, explained: “If you know soil science — as I’m a soil scientist — you’ll understand that potassium levels, organic matter, and pH can all be influenced by decaying organic material.

“If this was a wooden boat and the wood had rotted over time, we would expect to see elevated levels of potassium, changes in pH, and higher organic content — and that’s exactly what we’re finding.”

However, despite the apparent preservation, Jones doesn’t anticipate finding substantial remains beneath the grass and mountains, suggesting the remnants only act as a ‘chemical imprint’ of ‘pieces of wood and in the ground.’

Jones concluded: “This is not what you’d expect to see if the site were simply a solid block of rock or the result of random mudflow debris,” rather, he said it aligns with the Biblical narrative of the historic ship.

Looking ahead, the team plans to conduct a core drilling survey to “give us a much clearer picture of whether this is truly something man-made,” Jones noted.
