Jared Leto Responds to Allegations by Several Women Claiming Underage Sexual Assault

Warning: this article discusses sexual assault which some readers may find distressing.

Jared Leto has publicly addressed accusations from several women regarding various allegations of inappropriate conduct.

Recently, Air Mail published a critical piece focusing on the numerous sexual assault accusations directed at actor Jared Leto.

The article, released on June 6, includes a journalist’s interviews with nine women, each making serious allegations against Leto.

In response, a representative for Leto has refuted these claims.

The report also highlights the ‘open secret’ aspect of these allegations and references earlier media reports of misconduct involving women, some of whom were as young as 16 and 17.

The claims against the 53-year-old actor resurfaced last month following an Instagram story by Los Angeles-based DJ Allie Teilz, who referred to a 2012 Facebook post she made about Leto.

The post stated: “Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt.. And a snow hat.”

In another Instagram story, she expressed: “I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17.

“He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.”

She further commented: “Throwback to 2012, Jared Leto was a creep then … still a creep now, going on 15+ years of being Hollywood’s most persistent predator in a kilt.” And in another comment: “29+ years of being a pedophile. when does this end? protect our girls 💗 #jaredleto.”

A representative for Leto told Air Mail: “Ms. Teilz’s allegations are demonstrably false.”

The report also includes the account of a woman, who was underage at the time, who claimed to have had a texting relationship with Leto, and described uncomfortable visits to his home.

This woman further alleged that on a visit after she turned 18, Leto ‘suddenly pulled his penis out and started masturbating. Then he walked over, grabbed my hand, and put it on him. He leaned in and said, ‘I want you to spit on it.’”

In response to these claims, a Leto representative said: “All of the allegations are expressly denied.”

Another individual cited in the article is model Laura La Rue, who met Leto when she was 16.

She alleged that she experienced inappropriate behavior while visiting Leto at his music studio.

Leto’s representative denied this, asserting that ‘their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate’.

They further added: “Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto’s personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions.”

However, the model reportedly disputed that she applied for a position as Leto’s personal assistant.
