Glen Powell’s former partner breaks silence with scathing interview on Sydney Sweeney affair rumors that ‘devastated’ her

Glen Powell’s former girlfriend, Gigi Paris, expressed her feelings in a recent interview about how her relationship with the actor ended.

Glen Powell has gained prominence in Hollywood recently, but this rise may have impacted his personal relationships, according to his ex-girlfriend.

Gigi Paris, a model, shared her thoughts on the Too Much podcast on June 10, discussing how rumors about Powell affected their relationship.

When Powell and Sydney Sweeney were working on their rom-com, Anyone But You, in early 2023, rumors of a romance between them emerged, despite both being in committed relationships.

The Euphoria actress was engaged to Jonathan Davino at the time, but the engagement was called off earlier this year. A source informed PEOPLE that Sweeney wanted to ‘focus on her work’.

Meanwhile, Powell was in a relationship with Paris, which ended soon after the movie’s production.

Paris expressed that the rumors about Powell and Sweeney ‘shattered’ her, criticizing how Powell handled the speculation. She accused them of leveraging the rumors for publicity to promote the film.

Reflecting on their breakup in April 2023, Paris stated: “It was just, this is what I have to do for my job. I had two options. I could either pretend like I was going along with everything and have everyone wonder, like, ‘Are they hooking up? Are they not hooking up? Is she OK with this? What the f***?”

“Or stand up for myself and say, ‘No, I’m actually not OK with this, and I’m walking away. So that’s what I decided to do.”

Paris added that she felt embarrassed by Powell and Sweeney’s promotional efforts for the film.

She was particularly upset by Powell’s failure to dismiss the rumors, given that they had been together ‘over three years [and] talking about forever [together].’

She continued: “Where are you when you just need to stand up and say, ‘No, I would never cheat on my girlfriend. I wouldn’t do that.’ That’s all that needed to be said. And that wasn’t said … Never once.”

Paris admitted she thought they were exaggerating the situation to boost the film’s appeal but also expressed a wish that if they were involved, it would at least be worthwhile for her.

Both Powell and Sweeney have admitted to leaning into the romance rumors to promote the film, acknowledging it was what people wanted.
