Donald Trump has ignited a ‘body double’ conspiracy theory due to an unusual detail observed in a recent photo.
The Trump family has frequently been linked to body double rumors.
First Lady Melania Trump, in particular, has been the focus of multiple ‘body double’ theories over the years, suggesting she may use a stand-in for some of her responsibilities.
Although this conspiracy theory has been around for some time, it gained traction again during last year’s election and after Trump assumed office as the 47th president of the United States at the beginning of the year.
Currently, the spotlight has shifted to Trump himself, as some speculate whether he employed a body double during a recent event in the Netherlands.
On Tuesday evening (June 24), Trump joined other world leaders at The Hague for a NATO summit.
This gathering, termed as a ‘historic’ meeting by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, featured leaders posing for a photo alongside King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, followed by a formal dinner.
However, a particular detail in the photograph left many puzzled.
One Twitter user suggested a ‘mini Trump’ was sent to The Hague instead of the president, highlighting Trump’s apparent shorter stature in the event photos.
“That… that is not Trump,” someone commented.
Another remarked: “I was wondering why he seemed so much shorter when I saw a video earlier today.”
A third person added: “Clearly not the real one. Not tall enough. It’s amusing how people note he appears in several places at once.”
Another user described the situation as ‘creepy’.
Some were doubtful of these claims, noting that Trump’s apparent shorter height could be due to the tall men standing next to him.
“I think he just looks short here because the King of the Netherlands is 6’5. Let’s not get carried away,” one person suggested.
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands is reportedly 6 feet 2 inches tall, while President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan of Turkey is said to be just over six feet.
Trump himself is reportedly taller than both, standing at 6 feet 3 inches.
Despite this, the circulated image shows him appearing shorter than King Willem-Alexander and slightly taller than ErdoÄŸan.
There is likely an explanation for the height discrepancy, with many considering that the type of footwear worn by each leader could lead to variations.
