Elon Musk issues ominous reply to Trump’s deportation threat during public feud

Elon Musk has responded to comments made by Donald Trump concerning the possibility of his deportation.

Initially, Musk and Trump shared a friendly relationship, but over time, tensions arose, leading to a very public disagreement on social media platforms.

The friction began when Musk resigned from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). There were conflicting reports about his departure, with some suggesting he was dismissed, while Musk maintained that stepping down had always been part of the plan.

Following his exit from the Trump administration, Musk openly criticized President Trump’s controversial ‘Big, Beautiful Bill,’ labeling it an ‘abomination.’

Since then, the relationship between Musk and Trump has become increasingly strained.

As Trump continues his stringent immigration policies in the United States, he was questioned about the potential deportation of Musk, who hails from South Africa.

During a conversation with reporters, Trump commented, “[Musk is] upset that he’s losing his EV mandate.”

He further hinted, “He could lose a lot more than that, I can tell you right now. Elon could lose a lot more than that.”

When asked directly about the possibility of deporting the tech entrepreneur, Trump responded, “I don’t know, we’ll have to take a look.”

He added, “We might have to put DOGE on Elon. You know what DOGE is? DOGE is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon. Wouldn’t that be terrible? He gets a lot of subsidies. Elon’s very upset that the EV mandate is going to be terminated.”

Musk has since addressed the president’s comments. In response to a Twitter video showcasing Trump’s remarks, Musk tweeted, “So tempting to escalate this. So, so tempting. But I will refrain for now.”

Musk’s ambivalent retort follows a series of serious accusations he has made against the president since leaving DOGE.

In a tweet that has since been removed, Musk alleged last month: “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!”

A few days later, Musk expressed regret over his comments about the president, admitting that some of his posts ‘went too far.’

He stated, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”

The White House responded to Musk’s remarks, describing them as an ‘unfortunate incident’ involving the billionaire.
