Dax Shepard caught many by surprise when he shared a provocative image of his wife, Kristen Bell, on Instagram, where he has amassed four million followers.
Bell and Shepard have been together for 17 years and married since October 2013, demonstrating their strong commitment to each other.
Currently, the duo is reveling in Bell’s Emmy Awards nomination in 2025 for Outstanding Actress, recognizing her role in the comedy series “Nobody Wants This.”
To commemorate this achievement, Shepard uploaded a daring photo of Bell, posing nude with only bright blue knee-high socks in their backyard.
Although the image was edited to obscure sensitive areas, the Instagram post still managed to startle some fans.
In the caption, Shepard humorously noted: “People might not know everything that happens behind the scenes in order to create an Emmy nominated performance like Kristen’s. This may or may not have been a part of her training, but it felt right. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!”
The comments section exploded with disbelief over the audacity of the photo.
Gwyneth Paltrow commented, “Oh my God, Dax.” Another user joked, “She’s not naked people…. she CLEARLY has socks on! God forbid a girl have a hobby.”
Yet another chimed in, “When you want to feel free, but your toes still aren’t ready for that level of commitment.”
In “Nobody Wants This,” Shepard admitted to feeling a tinge of jealousy over the on-screen chemistry between Bell and a co-star.
The romantic spark between Adam Brody’s character and Bell’s was a topic of discussion at the New Yorker Festival soon after the series aired.
According to People, when asked about their “incredible chemistry,” Shepard gave a surprising response.
“Not as good as her and Brody,” he confessed.
Discussing a scene where Bell and Brody share a kiss, Shepard remarked, “My friend … we watched that scene together, the kissing scene, which I’d argue is the very best kissing scene ever, ever put on film.”
He continued, “And my best friend, Aaron, from childhood, he goes, ‘Does she ever kiss you like that?’ No, I didn’t even know she could kiss like that.”
Despite Shepard’s humorous candidness, “Nobody Wants This” resonated well with audiences.
