Officer Dismissed After Bodycam Footage Reveals Affair with Married Teacher: Shocking Details Unfold

In a recent incident gaining significant attention, a police officer’s infidelity was inadvertently revealed through his own body camera.

The affair involved a Tennessee police officer responsible for teaching the D.A.R.E. program and a school teacher who was married.

Unlike other high-profile exposures, this one was captured by the officer’s bodycam, which recorded Lebanon Police Officer Brian Gilley engaging in flirtatious behavior with Shelby Moss, a married teacher at Castle Heights Elementary School. The device even captured a kiss between the pair before it was interrupted by a student, as reported by Fox 17.

Complicating the situation further, both admitted to engaging in sexual activities on school premises.

Gilley acknowledged the possibility that students might have been present on campus, raising additional concerns.

At his decertification hearing in April, Gilley asked for leniency, admitting his misconduct.

However, this plea did not help him as he was permanently removed from his law enforcement role in May.

William ‘Chip’ Kain, representing the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission, stated: “You engaged in sexual activity at a school as an officer who was supposed to protect children.”

As for Shelby Moss, she was suspended for two days by the Lebanon Special School District and subsequently resigned in May. The Tennessee State Board of Education is still evaluating whether she should retain her teaching credentials.

The reason the bodycam was activated during their interaction remains unclear.

The footage also recorded a conversation where Gilley remarked to Shelby: “You just complain I don’t touch you enough.”

The case is particularly sensitive, given the setting and the responsibilities both individuals had, potentially exposing students to improper conduct in an educational environment.

After the student interruption, Shelby reportedly kissed the officer again once the classroom was clear.

“Oh God,” Gilley reportedly remarked after the kiss, adding, “I’ll see you tomorrow,” as he left.

Fox 17 also allegedly obtained screenshots of messages where the two exchanged expressions of love.
