Eerie Last Request NYC Gunman Made After Killing Four and Committing Suicide

A gunman who fatally shot four individuals after opening fire in a New York City office building had a disturbing final request, as revealed in recent reports.

On Monday, July 28, a man from Las Vegas entered a building located at 345 Park Avenue in New York City and began firing an M4 rifle, resulting in a tragic incident.

The shooter claimed the lives of four people, including a police officer, before ultimately turning the gun on himself.

Authorities have reported that another individual is hospitalized in critical condition.

The New York Police Department has identified the shooter as 27-year-old Shane Devon Tamura.

N.Y.C. Police Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch stated that surveillance footage captured the shooter leaving a double-parked black BMW on Park Avenue between 51st and 52nd Streets, armed with the M4 rifle.

“We believe this to be a lone shooter and there is no active threat to the public,” the police commissioner noted.

Authorities added that Tamura had a ‘documented mental history’.

According to CBS News, before ending his life, the gunman left a chilling final request following the horrific shooting.

A note allegedly found on the gunman read, “Study my brain please I’m sorry Tell Rick I’m sorry for everything.”

The note continued, as per CNN: “Terry Long football gave me CTE, and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze. You can’t go against the NFL, they’ll squash you.”

CTE is a neurological condition associated with repeated head trauma, and can result in behavioral and mood disorders.

CNN sources indicated that Tamura was involved in competitive football during his youth, and the NFL offices are situated on the fifth floor of the targeted building.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams identified the slain off-duty police officer as Didarul Islam during a press briefing.

Discussing the tragic event, Adams expressed: “Our hearts are heavy. Five innocent people were shot tonight. We lost four souls to another senseless act of gun violence, including a member of the New York City Police Department, Officer Islam.”

He further stated: “He protected New Yorkers. He’s an immigrant from Bangladesh. And he loved this city. And everyone we spoke with stated, he was a person of faith, and a person that believed in God and believed in living out the life of a godly person.

“He embodies what this city is all about. He’s a true-blue New Yorker.”
