Jason Momoa’s fans have noticed a peculiar similarity as his partner shared a heartfelt message to celebrate his birthday.
The renowned Aquaman actor celebrates his 46th birthday today (August 1), and his girlfriend, Adria Arjona, took to Instagram to post a series of pictures of the couple from the past year.
The pair made their relationship public in May 2024 through social media, and they have since been spotted together at various red carpet events.
In her Instagram caption, Arjona expressed: “Happy birthday mi amor. There’s nothing I love more than doing life by your side.
“So here’s to one more year of being wild and free and to forever growing young. Love you so much babii @prideofgypsies.
“AND…happy @chief.of.war [Momoa’s new TV show] day too. Excited for the world to watch what you’ve poured your heart and soul into for the past years.”
However, many fans have commented on the Instagram post, suggesting that Momoa’s current girlfriend bears a striking resemblance to his ex, Lisa Bonet.
“He definitely has a type,” noted one follower. Another added: “Looks like the mother of his kids.”
A third observed: “Wow, she looks like someone else…”
Momoa parted ways with his wife, Lisa Bonet, in 2020 as per the divorce papers she filed, though the split wasn’t made public until 2022.
Their divorce was finalized in 2024, with Bonet and Momoa agreeing to shared custody of their teenage children.
The former couple share two children, Lola, 18, and Nakoa-Wolf, 16, with the latter set to appear in Dune 3 alongside his father. The film is scheduled for worldwide release in 2026.
Recently, the Game of Thrones star addressed rumors regarding his son’s acting role, affirming that his son earned the role independently.
In an interview with Extra, Momoa humorously stated: “He’s in for a rude awakening is what he’s in for. He’s entering the workforce for the first time.”
Addressing accusations of nepotism, the acclaimed actor clarified: “It’s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and good for him.
“You want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is. I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age.
“There’s no way I could sit in a room with [Dune 3 director] Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on Baywatch at 19. He’s 16 and holding s**t down with Denis Villeneuve.”
