The barber responsible for creating the haircut of ‘Ibiza’s final boss’ has revealed the secrets behind the viral style.
Jack Kay, now known as the Ibiza Final Boss, has captured the internet’s attention with his unique appearances in Ibiza, characterized by his distinctive bowl haircut.
The 26-year-old from Newcastle gained social media fame by showcasing his iconic haircut, complemented by a thick gold chain and oversized rave-style sunglasses, while enjoying the vibrant nightlife on the Spanish island.
Although Jack has remained relatively silent about his unexpected fame (his girlfriend has spoken publicly), he returned to the UK on Thursday, August 7th, to visit his loyal barber of a decade for a fresh cut.
The haircut, reminiscent of The Beatles’ moptops, was crafted by Ali Kurbani at B&D Barbers in Blaydon, Gateshead. Ali eagerly anticipated the reunion with his longtime client.
After greeting each other with a hug, Ali said: “How are you? Are you alright?
“I saw what happened, congratulations.”
Jack simply called it ‘crazy’ before taking a photo with his friend in the barbershop.
The following day, he was seen boarding a private £5 million jet to return to the celebrity-filled parties, exclaiming: “Ibiza, I’m on me way.”
Ali has now detailed exactly what Jack requests for his hairstyle and the cost of the trim.
“I’ve been in this business for a while, and this is incredible,” the barber mentioned.
Ali elaborated: “We’ve been cutting Jack’s hair for about ten years and didn’t anticipate this. He’s had this style for a little while now.”
The 39-year-old from Kurdistan explained: “To get this style, Jack asks for a medium skin fade, leaving some length on top.
“He keeps his fringe sharp at the front.
“The haircut usually costs around £26 ($34), but sometimes Jack pays more.
“I think he’ll maintain the style.”
The barbershop has enjoyed newfound fame due to the viral haircut, with Ali commenting: “It was a pleasant surprise when I saw the video go viral, but it was unexpected.
“I’m very pleased with it all, and Jack is a great guy.
“It’s fantastic for our business.”
This insight follows Jack’s recent signing with a prominent talent agency to collaborate with celebrities on the sunny Spanish island.
Agent Dave Read and his agency, Neon Management, are known for propelling figures like Joey Essex to millionaire status. According to brand and culture expert Nick Ede, the ‘Final Boss’ could potentially earn six figures in the coming year through nightclub appearances and potential brand endorsements, as reported by The Daily Mail.
“It’s remarkable how he’s captured the cultural moment—he’s the most popular thing since the Jet2 holiday adverts, and he can capitalize on this for some time,” Nick said.
“He’s a living caricature. Most people don’t look like that, but he embodies what one might expect from someone visiting Ibiza.”
“It’s truly astonishing.”
