Trump Speaks Out After Police Confirm Ally Charlie Kirk Was Shot at Utah Debate Event

Charlie Kirk, the CEO and co-founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative youth organization, has been shot while attending an event at a college in Utah.

Aubrey Laitsch, the public relations manager for Turning Point USA, stated, “We are confirming that he was shot and we are praying for Charlie.”

The incident occurred during an event at Utah Valley University.

This shooting is part of a concerning trend of increasing political violence in the United States, affecting various ideological groups.

Recent violent acts include the murder of a Minnesota state politician and her spouse in their home in June, the firebombing of a Colorado parade in response to demands for the release of hostages by Hamas, and an arson attack on the residence of Pennsylvania’s governor, who is Jewish, back in April.

One of the most notable incidents was the shooting of President Donald Trump at a campaign rally last year.

In light of Kirk’s shooting, Trump has expressed his sentiments on the matter.

On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”
