Taylor Swift fans unite over explicit Travis Kelce song

Taylor Swift has offered some rather explicit revelations about her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce.

Honestly, it might be a bit more than we needed to know.

The music icon made a comeback on Friday (October 3) with her twelfth studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

One track is said to address her spat with Charli XCX, but another song has grabbed the attention of her fans.

This particular song seems to be dedicated to her fiancé, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce.

The high-profile pair began their relationship in the summer of 2023, after Kelce expressed his interest during one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts in Kansas.

They made their relationship official in September when Swift was seen at one of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs games, and they have been inseparable since.

Swift even joined Kelce and his brother Jason on their podcast, New Heights, to hint at her new album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Following this, Kelce proposed to the “Love Story” singer, marking a new chapter in their relationship.

Swift’s previous album, The Tortured Poets Department, touched on her past with The 1975’s Matty Healy and her connection with British actor Joe Alwyn, while also giving a nod to Kelce with the track So High School.

Yet, it seems she’s gone further with her ninth track, Wood, which suggests more intimate themes.

Swift appears to allude to her fiancé’s physique in the song’s lyrics.

In the post-chorus of the song, she sings: “He ah-matized me and opened my eyes/ Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see

“His love was the key that opened my thighs.”

It seems she’s pleased, to say the least.

The playful references continue with: “The curse on me was broken by your magic wand (Ah).”

She then makes a direct nod to Kelce’s podcast with: “Seems to be that you and me, we make our own luck/

“New heights (New heights), manhood (Manhood)/I ain’t got to knock on wood.”

And there it is.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts, with many suggesting Kelce embrace the moment.

“If I’m Travis Kelce, ‘Wood’ is my alarm clock, my ring tone, my walk-up song,” one X (formerly Twitter) user commented.

“Travis Kelce entering the chiefs facility after they blasted Track 9 of The Life of a Showgirl through the speakers,” another fan wrote, along with a GIF of Drake confidently walking through a stadium with cheering fans.

“Ummmm I just finished a first listen of ‘Wood’ and in the rare event I ever meet Travis Kelce in person I will not be able to look that man in the eye,” a third user confessed.
