50 Cent wasted no time in poking fun at Diddy on social media following the sentencing of the embattled music mogul.
The rapper has a history of seizing opportunities to ridicule Diddy’s misfortunes and has regularly taken to social media to taunt him during his legal troubles.
Diddy’s trial has been a major subject of discussion ever since his arrest in New York last year.
During the high-profile court proceedings, while Diddy managed to dodge some of the more severe charges, he was still found guilty on others.
The jury convicted the 55-year-old of two counts related to the transportation for engagement in prostitution, violating the Mann Act, which prohibits interstate commerce associated with prostitution.
On October 3, Diddy received his sentencing for these offenses.
Judge Arun Subramanian in New York imposed a significant penalty, sentencing Combs to a 50-month prison term, after dismissing the defense’s suggestion of a sentence of no more than 14 months as inadequate.
Prior to this, prosecutor Christy Slavik indicated that Diddy’s team had already arranged speaking engagements for him, suggesting they were confident of his release post-sentencing.
50 Cent picked up on this and took the opportunity to jest about the situation, once it became evident that Diddy would not be leaving prison soon.
He humorously commented on Twitter: “Hey to whoever was booking Diddy for speaking engagement. I heard he won’t be able to make it, 🤷 I’m available!”
