Nicole Kidman openly responds to Keith Urban divorce rumors with candid remarks

Nicole Kidman has seemingly addressed her split from Keith Urban, following recent reports that they have ended their marriage.

According to TMZ, the couple, who married in 2006, have been separated since the start of summer.

An anonymous source told the publication that Kidman, aged 58, is “holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone.”

It is also noted that Urban, who is 57, has “acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home” after the separation.

Court documents obtained by People reveal that Kidman has requested to be the primary residential parent for their two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

This arrangement, which Urban has reportedly consented to, allows Kidman to spend 306 days with their daughters, while Urban will spend 59 days of the year with them.

Amid these developments, Kidman shared her thoughts on the matter during an interview with Vogue, without mentioning her ex-husband by name.

When questioned about her feelings in her 50s, the actress remarked: “How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?”

In other parts of the interview, Kidman discussed her career and her continuous pursuit of challenging and surprising roles.

“Taking a risk is what I’ve always done. You get back up and you try again and you learn … I still go back to shoestring indie filmmaking because it was where I was born,” she stated.

Despite their separation, it seems that Kidman and Urban are managing their divorce amicably.

Documents reviewed by People show that Kidman and Urban have agreed not to speak negatively about each other or their family members to the media. They will also “encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families.”

Both Kidman and Urban are required to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of the divorce proceedings being initiated, as reported by the outlet.

According to People, Kidman signed the divorce papers on September 6, while Urban had signed on August 29.

Kidman and Urban’s representatives have been contacted for comment regarding the situation.
