Map Highlights US States with Highest Alleged Cheating Rates

A recent map highlights where in the United States people are most likely to experience infidelity in their relationships.

Infidelity can have serious repercussions, such as breaking up families, leading to divorce, and causing emotional trauma for those who are betrayed. Despite these outcomes, cheating is a common occurrence, and a recent poll suggests that the US may be facing an infidelity crisis.

According to the American Survey Center, young men and women in the country are having trouble with dating and maintaining relationships, largely due to polarized political views that have emerged since President Donald Trump began his second term in January.

Now, a new survey has disclosed that many Americans have been victims of cheating, with certain states showing higher rates of infidelity compared to others.

Researchers at NapLap surveyed over 1,600 Americans to identify where cheating is prevalent and where loyalty still prevails.

The data indicates that a staggering 85 percent of people in the US have been cheated on, although only 34 percent admitted to being the ones who cheated.

The survey involved 1,649 participants who were asked questions such as: “Have you ever cheated on a significant other?”, “Have you ever been cheated on by a significant other?”, and “In which state do you live?”

The findings show a significant variation between states. North Carolina, Kentucky, Alaska, North Dakota, and Delaware emerged as the states with the highest rates of cheating, either experienced or committed.

North Carolina leads the pack with 44 percent of residents admitting to cheating, while 94 percent reported being cheated on by a partner.

In Kentucky, 35 percent admitted to infidelity, but a whopping 97 percent said they have been wronged, placing it at the top of the list alongside Alaska, where only 26 percent confessed to cheating but 97 percent reported being victims.

North Dakota ranks 4th, Delaware 5th, followed by Michigan, Louisiana, Maine, and then Hawaii and South Carolina tying for 9th and 10th.

Interestingly, respondents from Hawaii were most candid about their infidelity, with 80 percent admitting to it, more than any other state. Louisiana followed with 62 percent.

In South Carolina, only 25 percent admitted to cheating, whereas 91 percent claimed to have been cheated on.

Wyoming, despite having the smallest population, reported 85 percent of individuals being victims of cheating, with 50 percent admitting to having cheated.

On the brighter side, states like Connecticut, Indiana, Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Jersey report lower instances of infidelity.

Similarly, Idaho, Illinois, Nebraska, Alabama, and Kansas also rank as places where both cheaters and those cheated on are less prevalent.
