The tallest family in the world has revealed that their extraordinary height brings significant challenges, such as physical discomfort and obstacles in daily activities.
A quick search online will show that there are over 65,000 active records in the Guinness World Records database, covering categories like the longest plank hold, heaviest blueberry, and smallest humanoid robot.
In December 2020, the Trapp family from Esko, Minnesota, entered the history books by being recognized as the tallest family globally.
According to Guinness World Records, Scott, Krissy, Savanna, Molly, and Adam Trapp have an average height of 203.29 cm (6 ft 8.03 inches).
The Trapp siblings – Adam, Molly, and Savanna – have been engaged in sports throughout their lives and have received college recruitment offers for basketball or volleyball.
Adam stands as the tallest member of the family at 221.71 cm (7 ft 3 in), while Savanna measures 203.6 cm (6 ft 8 in), and Molly is 197.26 cm (6 ft 6 in) tall.
Krissy, the mother, is the shortest among them, with a height of 191.2 cm (6 ft 3 in), and dad Scott is slightly taller at 202.7 cm (6 ft 8 in).
However, their impressive heights come with their own set of challenges; the family encounters various issues due to their height.
“The growing pains were unreal. I have stretch marks on the back of my legs,” Savanna revealed.
She also mentioned that she sometimes faints if she stands up too quickly.

The Trapps shared with Guinness World Records that they frequently have to duck through doorways and encounter ‘frustrating’ shopping experiences.
Additionally, driving cars poses challenges because of their long legs.
Despite the difficulties their height brings, the Trapps are determined to make the most of it.
In April 2022, Molly expressed her desire to continue her family’s tall legacy when she becomes a parent, while Savanna’s ambitions are focused on her career.

She shared her interest in pursuing acting or modeling and aims to set a record for the largest hands on a living person (female).
Currently, Rumeysa Gelgi holds this record, with her right hand measuring 24.93 cm (9.81 in) and left hand 24.26 cm (9.55 in), as verified in February 2022.
If you think you can challenge Gelgi’s record or believe your family surpasses the Trapps in height, consider reaching out to Guinness World Records.
