Erika Kirk recently shared her thoughts on her relationship with Charlie Kirk and recounted one of the last moments she spent with him before his untimely death in a new interview.
The assassination of Charlie Kirk, which occurred while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in September, sent shockwaves across the United States. As authorities launched a substantial manhunt following the incident, the focus of many turned to Erika Kirk and her marriage with Charlie.
Now in the public eye, Erika Kirk spoke about her relationship with Charlie during an interview with Fox News’ Jesse Watters. In the conversation, Erika mentioned that she unfortunately did not have the chance to kiss her husband goodbye on the day he was killed.
She reminisced about a heartwarming moment shared with Charlie and their daughter, Gigi, the night prior to his attending the event.

“He was so excited,” she said. “He was like ‘I can’t wait, it is going to be the best’.”
Erika continued, “He got up around two o’clock, three-ish to go into the kitchen to grab a snack and our daughter had woken up around that same time.
“We live in a small space, you can kind of hear when everyone is kind of shuffling around, and so she came to our room and she stayed in our bed.
“He always loved when Gigi slept in our bed because she is little, you know, little ones, they kind of curl up inside of you, and they are just nuzzled in.”
While the couple cherished these moments with their children, she acknowledged that it can become hectic due to the nature of children being restless.
Knowing that Charlie was set to begin his tour the following day, Erika advised him on how to ensure he would be well-rested.
She explained, “So I said, ‘I want you to have a good night’s sleep, go ahead and sleep in her room. And I’ll turn the air down so it’s nice and cozy in there. I just want you to get a good night’s sleep, so you can be amazing tomorrow’.

“So Gigi and I stayed in our room, and that morning he woke up super early and he came into our bedroom, into the bathroom because that is where his wedding ring and necklace was.
“He came in and he grabbed that and then he left. I didn’t even get to give him a kiss goodbye.”
Following the tragic shooting, law enforcement arrested Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old American citizen. When questioned about his reasons for allegedly committing the act, Robinson reportedly stated: “There’s too much evil and the guy [Kirk] spreads too much hate.”
