A chef is preparing to launch the very first ‘Ozempic restaurant’ as the holiday season approaches.
Ozempic has gained significant attention online in recent years, with many applauding its effects while others point out its numerous side effects.
Though often linked to weight loss, Ozempic is not officially approved as a weight loss medication; it is prescribed to treat type 2 diabetes.
The drug’s active ingredient, semaglutide, assists the body in producing additional insulin when necessary and helps regulate glucose production by the liver.
An additional effect of Ozempic is its potential to aid in appetite regulation.
As a result, individuals taking Ozempic may feel satisfied with smaller amounts of food, which, alongside a healthy diet and exercise, can be advantageous for those aiming to shed pounds.
A chef is now set to open a restaurant tailored for individuals focused on weight loss.

This initiative involves celebrity chef Jack Stein collaborating with CheqUp, a clinically-supervised weight management service, to create ‘Season’s Eatings’ in Covent Garden, London.
The restaurant will offer festive meals specifically designed for individuals on GLP-1 medication.
The menu will feature smaller portions, lower calorie dishes, less alcohol, and a variety of dessert options.
Jack Stein explained: “Food is meant to bring people together, not divide them. The real challenge is making sure everyone feels part of the meal, whatever they eat.
“For me, that’s where the fun begins – finding ways to make dishes full of flavour, colour, and generosity for every plate. Using things like black vinegar, soy, miso, or citrus to add depth and balance without relying on butter or cream.
“We’ve used ingredients like lean turkey, oily fish, cruciferous vegetables and citrus to help with satiety and digestion, while the smaller plates mean you can enjoy every flavour without overdoing it.

“Anyone hosting this Christmas can take a similar approach – focus on flavour, texture and balance rather than quantity, and your guests will still feel like they’ve had the full festive experience.”
Toby Nicol, the Chief Executive at CheqUp, expressed the importance of creating an inclusive space for celebration.
He stated: “Christmas is a time to celebrate, but it can also be a challenging period for anyone on a medical weight-loss journey. We’re seeing a real shift in how people approach the festive season, showing festive joy and considered eating can coexist.
“We wanted to create a space where everyone can enjoy the festivities, delicious food and good company, without having to compromise their health journey. Season’s Eatings is designed to inspire hosts and guests with practical, joyful ways to celebrate the season.”
