Nick Cannon’s 12 Children Unveiled Following Daughter’s Candid Remarks on Siblings

Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey’s daughter recently discussed her siblings, and you might be surprised by the number of them.

A decade ago, Cannon was recognized for his musical career, his roles in films, and his participation in a long-running TV show throughout the United States.

Today, Nick Cannon is perhaps more famous for the number of children he has fathered.

Recently, his eldest daughter, 14-year-old Monroe, used Instagram to express her views about her siblings.

On November 13, she posted an Instagram story saying: “Clearing something up guys.

“I only have ONE brother who is Moroccan Cannon. I do have other half siblings from my dad but they are all many, many years younger than me.”

Monroe and Moroccan were Cannon’s first children (twins) who were born in April 2011, shared with his ex, Mariah Carey.

Cannon and Carey first met in 2008 when she cast him as her love interest in her ‘Bye Bye’ music video, and the couple married a month later, before publicly disclosing their relationship.

“We really do feel we are soulmates,” Carey shared with People after confirming their marriage. “I never felt a love like this was in the cards for me.”

Unfortunately, Cannon announced their separation in a December 2014 interview, expressing: “We’ll forever be family. We’re there for our children, and are making them the number one priority.”

Monroe’s remarks about her siblings have sparked interest in the topic of whether half siblings are considered true siblings.

So, let’s get to know them all.

In the past 14 years, Cannon has fathered 12 children with six different women, including Carey.

The other mothers of his children are Brittany Bell, Alyssa Scott, Abby De La Rosa, Bre Tiesi, and LaNisha Cole.

With Bell, he welcomed Golden in 2017, Powerful in 2020, and Rise in 2022.

De La Rosa gave birth to twin boys, Zion and Zillion, in 2021, followed by their daughter, Beautiful, in 2022.

Also born in 2022 were Legendary Love with Tiesi, Onyx with Cole, and Halo with Scott.

Tragically, Cannon’s son with Scott, Zen, who was born in 2021, passed away five months later in December due to cancer.

“It sounded like he had fluid in his lungs, like a sinus infection or something,” Cannon explained to PEOPLE. “[The doctors] didn’t think it to be anything too concerning.”

“We started asking, ‘Is there a way to prevent this? If not, how long do we have?’ ” Cannon recalled. “The conversations quickly turned to, ‘How can we give him the best life for the time that he does have?’ It could be weeks, it could be months, it could be years.”

“We were having quality-of-life conversations,” he added. “We could have had that existence where he would’ve had to live in the hospital, hooked up to machines, for the rest of the time. From someone who’s had to deal with chemotherapy before, I know that pain. To see that happen to a 2-month-old, I didn’t want that. I didn’t want him to suffer.”

Ultimately, the family spent their final moments with him on a beach watching the sun set.

Cannon shared the news of his son’s passing on December 7.

“We had a short time with a true angel,” Cannon told the outlet. “My heart is shattered. I wish I could have done more, spent more time with him, taken more pictures. I wish I could have hugged him longer.”
