Isla Fisher has discussed her divorce from Sacha Baron Cohen and her future plans amid rumors about her ex-husband and a model.
Fisher has previously described her divorce from Cohen as ‘the most difficult thing’ she’s ‘been through’, but she maintains a hopeful outlook for what’s ahead.
The couple had been together for over two decades and were married for approximately 13 years before going their separate ways in 2023. They have three children together.
In an Instagram story in 2024, Fisher confirmed their split by sharing a photo of the two in tennis attire.
The caption read: “After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage.”
In a recent interview discussing post-divorce life, she acknowledged the challenges that come with it.
During a conversation with Elle Decoration, she mentioned: “Trying to create a new life from a grassroots level, at least emotionally, has been challenging, but deeply rewarding.”
Fisher now lives in London, where she searched extensively to find the perfect home.
It was ultimately the backyard that convinced her.
She explained: “To be in a space like this is so calming for me. I’ve been obsessed with weeping willows since I was a kid and there’s one in the backyard, so it felt like kismet.
“When [all the furniture] arrived, I did have a bit of a cry because this was my first time as a single woman, being in a home of my own.”
The actress also shared her future aspirations following the divorce, despite apprehensions about what lies ahead.
In an interview with the Australian, she stated: “I’ve got time to discover what inspires me creatively, so it’s been an amazing and lucky thing.
“For most parents, we focus on our kids and it’s so divine and magical and so absorbing, but now I have some time where the kids aren’t with me, so I get some time to think about what the future might hold for me. Which is exciting and also scary.”
Meanwhile, rumors have emerged suggesting Cohen has been spending time with 27-year-old OnlyFans model Hannah Palmer.
A report from the Sun claimed they were seen dining at a restaurant before departing together in a limo.
Neither Cohen nor Palmer have publicly addressed the nature of their relationship.
