Holly Madison, former girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, revealed a particular ‘fixation’ Hefner had that would upset him if it wasn’t adhered to.
During the 2000s, Madison, now 45, was known as Hefner’s ‘number one girlfriend’ and lived in the opulent Playboy Mansion until their relationship ended in 2009.
The Los Angeles mansion gained worldwide fame and was a frequent hotspot for celebrities, continuing until Hefner’s death at age 91 in 2017.
Madison, alongside Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson, gained media attention through their reality TV series on E!, titled The Girls Next Door.
The show gave viewers a glimpse into life at the Playboy Mansion, but Madison, known for her show Holly’s World, has since shared more intimate details about her relationship with Hefner.

In the In Your Dreams Podcast with Owen Thiele, Madison discussed their sex life, noting it was surprisingly ‘normal’ despite the significant age difference, but only when alone with Hefner.
She explained: “Well, it’s a very different story between when we were just by ourselves than with everybody else in the room. Everybody else in the room, no. That was disgusting. I hated it. I made it very known I hated it.
“If it was just me and him, it was a lot more normal than you would think.”
In a 2021 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, she delved deeper into their relationship, revealing Hefner’s particular ‘fixation’ on the women’s grooming habits.
Madison remarked: “He always had a fixation on everyone always being fully shaved,” adding: “He would get mad if somebody wasn’t shaved.”

She also mentioned that Hefner preferred ‘a certain look’ with ‘nothing sticking out’, and described how he typically remained ‘laying down’, requiring the women to be on top.
Reflecting on her time at the mansion, which she previously noted ‘wasn’t always in the best shape’, Madison shared that she often tried to view her experiences positively, calling it an ‘easy way to dismiss everything, and tie my experiences up in a nice little bow’.
In her 2015 memoir, she described Hefner as ‘controlling’ and expressed feeling ‘miserable’ during their relationship.
Madison observed that other girlfriends seemed to be having a ‘similar experience’ as she noticed a ‘little wrong’ despite their attempts to enjoy themselves.
She added: “I could always see that there was a little bit of sadness behind their eyes, or they seemed a little upset, and I never really knew why, but I always kind of had a suspicion that maybe they had a similar experience to me.”
