Three separate incidents have resulted in the deaths of three women in Jacksonville, Florida.
Investigations are underway for each tragedy, with two of the women identified publicly. All three cases are being treated as homicides.
Speculation about a possible serial killer has been addressed by law enforcement officials.
On November 18, the police issued a statement denying that the homicides are connected, labeling the rumors as untrue.
“JSO is aware of rumors circulating about a serial killer on the loose in Jacksonville. We can confirm these claims are FALSE,” the statement on Facebook read.
“Our detectives are investigating recent homicide cases that involve female victims, following the facts and evidence in each case. We will share updates as soon as we are able to, but we want to reassure the community there is no danger to the public related to these incidents.”
Here is the latest information on each separate case.

A young mother of two, Cherrish, was killed just weeks before her 25th birthday, leaving behind a 5-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son.
The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that Cherrish was discovered unresponsive in a parking lot on Sunbeam Road shortly after 5pm on November 15 and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A GoFundMe campaign launched by her family stated: “She was killed in cold blood. She never got into trouble. She was a bright, beautiful girl, a wonderful mom and aunt, the best sister, and a great daughter.”
The family commended the investigators, noting that they are doing a ‘great job so far’.
Tiffany’s remains were found by a fisherman under a bridge on Blanding Boulevard on a Sunday.
Her death is being investigated as a homicide, as confirmed by detectives working on the case.
Local reports indicated that Tiffany’s family described her as a ‘devoted mother’ and ‘hard worker’.
The father of Tiffany’s child told News4JAX that her sisters had been searching for her after they had not heard from her earlier that day.
“I woke up to a call saying my son’s mom may be gone, I’m like this can’t be, it’s not right,” he commented.

On November 17, the body of a third woman was found unresponsive.
Reports indicate that authorities were called around 1.10pm about a potential stabbing on West 14th Street.
News outlets have reported that officers found the woman in a locked room, with no weapons present at the site.
The woman, believed to be in her 50s, has not been publicly identified, and officials are working to determine the circumstances of her death.
Sgt. Highfill of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office stated: “The circumstances surrounding the victim’s death are unknown at this time.”
