Conor McGregor recently shared an extraordinary experience he had in Mexico involving hallucinogenic treatment, where he claimed to have ‘seen his own death and met Jesus’.
The former UFC star has been a prominent figure in the headlines this year, following his loss in an appeal related to allegations that he ‘brutally raped and battered’ a woman at a Dublin hotel in 2018. Although he was found liable for sexual assault in a civil case filed by Nikita Hand last year, McGregor has consistently refuted any allegations of misconduct.
A year after the widely publicized trial in Dublin, the 37-year-old took to social media platform X over the weekend to make an unusual post detailing some profound insights from his experience.
McGregor stated: “Hey guys, I am back. I was blessed to meet the most forward-thinking doctors from Stanford University and undergo a series of treatments to address trauma.”

He continued, “I travelled to Tijuana Mexico and underwent Ibogaine treatment at AMBIO. Watch the Netflix documentary just released titled ‘In Waves and War’ as it is the exact place I went.”
McGregor described the experience as “incredible, intense, and absolutely eye-opening,” explaining that he was confronted with a vision of his own death, its impending nature, and its potential impact on his children. He recounted, “I was looking down on myself as it happened, and then I was looking out from the coffin.”
Ibogaine, the substance he took, is derived from the Tabernanthe iboga plant, native to Central Africa. Although it has been studied for its potential in treating addiction, it remains unapproved in the United States.
McGregor’s post went on: “God then came to me in the Holy Trinity. He is MIGHTY! Jesus, his child. Mary, his Mother. The Archangels. All present in heaven.”
He revealed that Jesus descended from the heavens and crowned him, anointing him with what felt like a divine blessing. “My brain. My heart. My soul. Healed,” McGregor expressed, noting that he was under for 36 hours before awakening to feel renewed.

He wrapped up his message with gratitude: “Thank you for all your inspiration, motivation, encouragement, well wishes, support, and most importantly, for your prayers!”
Expressing appreciation for his loved ones and supporters, McGregor declared, “To my family, my friends, my fans. My support! My team! Baby, we did it! The World is in for a treat! To God, I am yours!!”
He also thanked God for the blessing he received, stating that he would live his life guided by divine words. McGregor and his fiancĂ©e, Dee Devlin, who stood by him during last year’s trial, share four children together.
