“Tara Reid Alleges She Was Drugged at Hotel Bar, Later Seen on Stretcher”

Tara Reid claims she was ‘drugged’ at a hotel bar, leading to her hospitalization.

In video acquired by TMZ, the American Pie actress was seen slumped in a wheelchair before being moved onto a stretcher and taken out of a Chicago hotel.

Reid states she visited the hotel bar around 10:30pm on Saturday, November 22. The 50-year-old was reportedly hospitalized in the early hours of Sunday morning.

She suspects her drink was ‘spiked’ about 30 minutes after her arrival at the bar. Reid notes she left her drink unattended when she stepped outside for a smoke and discovered a napkin placed on the glass upon her return, which she had not placed there.

She consumed her glass of wine, which she insists was her sole alcoholic drink that night, and then awoke in a hospital bed.

Regarding the incident, Reid’s representative informed Page Six: “Tara Reid has filed a police report after an incident in which she believes her drink was tampered with. She is cooperating fully with the investigation.

“Tara is recovering and asks for privacy during this traumatic time. She also urges everyone to be careful, watch your drinks and never leave them unattended, as this can happen to anyone. She will not be making further comments at this stage.”

Florida State University provides indicators that a drink might have been spiked, including a salty or bitter taste, a foggy appearance, excessive bubbles, sinking ice that was previously floating, or a change in color.

According to Unspiked, one in five women aged 18 to 30 have experienced or encountered attempts of drink spiking in social settings.

Experiencing symptoms like memory loss, mental confusion, feeling ‘out of it,’ and speech difficulties could indicate a drink was spiked, as Reid claims.

More severe symptoms might include breathing difficulties, muscle spasms or seizures, low body temperature and blood pressure, and loss of consciousness.

Post-event, a longer-than-usual hangover or a severe hangover despite minimal alcohol consumption could suggest drinking tampering.
