Netflix Actor Tony Germano Passes Away at 55 After Tragic Fall, Says Representative

Tony Germano, known for his roles in productions by Netflix, Disney, and Nickelodeon, has passed away at 55.

The actor died as a result of a fall at his residence in São Paulo, Brazil. His representative confirmed that the accident occurred while he was inspecting ongoing renovations at the property.

Germano reportedly went up onto the roof to assess the progress of the work when he unfortunately lost his footing and fell, leading to his untimely death.

In a statement released to People, the actor’s representatives expressed: “It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano on the morning of Wednesday, November 26. Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries.”

The funeral was held yesterday at Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista, attended by grieving friends and family members.

The representatives further stated: “We kindly ask for respect and understanding during this painful time for his family, friends, and colleagues. Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him. His absence will be deeply felt.”

Reports from local media suggest that Germano had been living at his parents’ home during the renovation of his own house. Sources also noted that he had spent the evening before his accident out with his sister, appearing in good spirits.

Germano was renowned among Brazilian audiences for his voice work in Portuguese-language adaptations of series such as Netflix’s Go, Dog, Go! and Nickelodeon’s Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. He also lent his voice to Disney’s localized version of the 2017 film Beauty and the Beast.

Additionally, the actor contributed his voice to Disney Jr’s Elena of Avalor and The Muppets.

Germano spent significant parts of his career on stage, performing in musical theater productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, Jekyll & Hyde, and Fiddler on the Roof.

In more recent times, he expanded his scope to include on-screen roles, appearing as Doctor Lauro in the 2025 film Labyrinth of Lost Boys and as Marcílio in Amazon Prime’s 2023 release An Unforgettable Year: Autumn.

Fans have been sharing their condolences, with one commenting on his Instagram: “Dear Tony, so sad to hear of your passing. I wish you a lot of light and may your passage be light and kind as you’ve always been.”

Another tribute read: “Sad… so sad to see you leave!!! Thank you dear friend of so many years for your ART.”

Matheus Marchetti, the director of Labyrinth of Lost Boys, also shared his sorrow over losing a creative partner, describing their collaboration as one that “seemed like it was going to last forever.”

Marchetti remembered Germano as a ‘father figure’ on set who was always there to support the team.
