Kristen Stewart discloses the single line she couldn’t say in Twilight due to its sheer ’embarrassment’

Kristen Stewart has shared that there was a particular line in Twilight she was unwilling to deliver.

The Twilight saga, a romantic vampire fantasy film series adapted from Stephanie Meyer’s novels, premiered in 2008, featuring stars like Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Stewart.

While the series is known for its memorable one-liners and scenes that have become fodder for memes and gifs, there was one line Stewart found particularly uncomfortable to say.

During her appearance on the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast, the 35-year-old actress from California, who portrayed Bella Swan, mentioned that the novels have some ‘idiosyncratic weird’ phrases that ended up in the films.

One such line comes from Pattinson’s character, Edward Cullen, who tells Bella: “You better hold on tight, spider monkey,” as they speed through trees with vampire agility.

However, Stewart noted, ‘there was this one that I couldn’t deliver at all,’ and admitted it was ’embarrassing because I was so embarrassed.’

“Like the worst, the most embarrassing thing is to look yourself be embarrassed.”

Stewart revealed the line that made her uncomfortable, which she was supposed to say to Lautner, who played Jacob Black, a werewolf shape-shifter, ‘something about his muscles’.

She elaborated: “Or something where it was like, ‘Hey…’ Something like biceps? Biceps. That’s what it was, ‘Hey biceps.’

“And I think I was like, ‘Hey, hi, hi, hi. Oh god,'” she added, describing her inability to say it.

“Yeah, it’s bad.”

Host Amanda Hirsch remarked: “Well you didn’t have to say, ‘Where’ve you been, Loca?” referring to another viral line from Twilight: New Moon, spoken by Lautner to Stewart.

The unusual line has transformed into a pop culture meme and even made its way onto merchandise.

Fans have been revisiting their favorite quotes and moments from the series on Reddit, such as when Bella was upset with Jacob for nicknaming her daughter after ‘the loch ness monster’.

One fan pointed out that the nickname was actually quite normal compared to the child’s real name, Renesme, describing it as ‘cuckoo banana crackers.’

“With insane delivery too,” joked another, while one more declared it ‘the best line in the whole series, hands down.’

“I marathoned the entire movie saga while extremely drunk and depressed a few years ago and it was genuinely the hardest I’d laughed in months,” a fan shared. “Those movies are a gift.

“The scene where Dakota Fanning yeets a vampire baby into a fire convinced my husband to give the movies a try.”

Another person commented: “I was so thankful to my ex girlfriend for putting me on to the Twilight series. It is comedy gold. I never cracked up so hard at the first one and when I heard the iconic ‘loca’ line.”
