Why Netflix viewers are captivated by the ‘spicy’ mini-series streamed for 37.2 million hours

Netflix viewers are enthralled by a new mini-series that’s climbing the most-watched charts.

As the end of the year approaches, it’s the perfect opportunity to dive into a gripping new drama that offers a perfect distraction from the inevitable march of time.

This particular series has already been watched for over 37.2 million hours, as reported by FlixPatrol.

There’s a compelling reason for its widespread popularity…

On Tuesday (December 2), the show was the third most-watched TV series worldwide, just behind Claire Danes’ The Beast in Me and the Duffer Brothers’ Stranger Things. At the time of writing, it had dropped to fifth place, with Sean Combs: The Reckoning and the supernatural AMC thriller Talamasca: The Secret Order catching up in the Netflix rankings.

This captivating drama, set in Korea, follows Go Da-rim, a single woman who pretends to be a married mother to secure a position at a baby products company.

However, what starts as a small deception soon escalates when she encounters her astute and stoic team leader, Gong Ji-hyeok.

According to Netflix, one impulsive kiss “turns their office lives delightfully upside down” as they begin an “unpredictable” affair.

Ahn Eun-jin portrays Da-rim, a character you might recognize from the well-loved K-drama, Genie, Make a Wish, which concluded in October.

Jang Ki-yong from The Atypical Family plays Ji-hyeok, whose life starts to unravel after meeting Da-rim.

The show at the center of this buzz is called Dynamite Kiss, acclaimed as one of the finest rom-com dramas in recent memory.

Dynamite Kiss surprised me in the best way,” a fan commented on IMDB.

“I expected a straightforward rom-com, but that initial chaotic kiss sets off a story that’s messy, funny, and unusually honest,” they continued.

Viewers attribute the show’s acclaim to the electrifying chemistry between the lead actors.

One fan rated the show a perfect 10/10, saying: “The two leads are absolute fire and their chemistry is blazing. For a refreshing change, the kiss didn’t take until episode 8.”

“And. What. A. Kiss,” they emphasized.

Another viewer added: “Oh my Lord. I can literally smell the chemistry from here.”

Many viewers described the show as ‘spicy’ and ‘exciting’.

As of December 3, six out of the 14 total episodes of Dynamite Kiss have been released.

The remaining episodes are available every Thursday, with the series finale scheduled for Christmas Day.

“I’m hooked for the rest of the journey,” one viewer mentioned, while another expressed hope that the upcoming episodes would meet fans’ expectations.

Dynamite Kiss is currently available for streaming on Netflix.
