Love Is Blind Stars Announce Separation One Year After Daughter’s Birth

Love Is Blind stars Alexa and Brennon Lemieux have announced they are ending their marriage.

The pair met during the third season of the popular Netflix dating series and exchanged vows on camera in June 2021, though the season didn’t air until October 2022.

As one of the show’s success stories, the couple welcomed a daughter named Vienna in July 2024.

In a statement on Instagram today (December 3), Alexa shared the news of their separation: “After much reflection and many heartfelt conversations, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. This choice was not made lightly, and it comes with a great deal of care, respect, and appreciation for the time we’ve shared.”

She further expressed: “We entered this relationship with love and optimism, and we leave it with gratitude for the experiences that shaped us and the growth we each gained along the way. While our journey as a married couple is coming to an end, we remain supportive of one another, devoted to our daughter, and committed to navigating this transition with compassion.”

Alexa requested privacy as they “move forward and focus on our individual paths while keeping our precious daughter as our top priority.”

Fans of Love Is Blind have expressed their shock at the announcement. One fan commented: “I actually gasped out loud. Didn’t see this coming.”

“This has broken my heart. Never felt so sad for two strangers,” another added.

Another supporter wrote: “Oh no, you were my favorite couple. Best of luck to you both as you move forward as friends and, most importantly, co parents to your beautiful daughter.”

“So saddened for you both,” someone else said, recalling the emotional impact of watching their season.

Unfortunately, Alexa and Brennon are not the first couple from Love Is Blind to part ways after marrying on the show.

Nick Thompson and Danielle Ruhl, from the second season, also ended their marriage after one year.

Nick later revealed he faced financial difficulties after the show, telling the Daily Mail in August 2023: “I lost my job last November. I’m having an incredibly hard time finding [a new] one.”

He added: “I burned through my savings that cashed out my 401(k). I’ve got two months left in the bank to pay my mortgage. I can’t get a job because people don’t take me seriously.”
