Billy Ray Cyrus responds fiercely to woman’s lawsuit claiming she’s Miley Cyrus’ real mother

Billy Ray Cyrus had a succinct response to a woman who has filed a lawsuit with unusual allegations that she is Miley Cyrus’ biological mother.

Miley Cyrus, who is currently experiencing a high point in her life following her engagement announcement to boyfriend Maxx Morando, is now embroiled in further family complications.

An Arizona native has claimed to be the biological mother of Cyrus, asserting that the singer’s parents, Billy Ray Cyrus, 64, and Tish Cyrus-Purcell, 58, actually adopted her.

This woman, named Jaymee Lee, alleges she gave birth to Miley when she was just 12 years old and initiated legal action in May, as reported by Mail Online.

The 45-year-old plaintiff stated she had a ‘private adoption agreement’ with Billy Ray and Tish, but claims she suffered ‘severe emotional distress’ due to Billy Ray’s alleged ‘misrepresentation’ of the adoption circumstances.

Lee further alleged that the agreement included her right to name Miley and an arrangement to serve as her nanny and piano instructor.

Additionally, Lee accused the couple of ‘breach of contract fraud and misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and unlawful interference with parental rights.’

Billy Ray Cyrus has responded to these allegations, dismissing them as ‘false and absurd’.

In June, Lee modified her lawsuit, adding fresh accusations of ‘child abuse and endangerment’ against Miley, blaming the couple for making her a public figure and deliberately placing her in the limelight.

She also claimed in the updated filing that the couple ‘threatened her with police action’ following Miley’s birth and severed all communication with her.

In October, a judge turned down Lee’s request for a trial, which included a demand for DNA maternity and paternity tests for Miley and her parents. Billy Ray and Tish ended their marriage in 2022 after nearly 28 years together.

On Nov. 20, Billy Ray submitted a motion to dismiss all of Lee’s claims, with his legal team stating they were ‘clearly brought for the purpose of harassing’ him and his family, in addition to ‘needlessly wasting this Court’s time and resources’.

His attorney also pointed out that, under Tennessee law, adopting a child without a court order is ‘not legally permissible’.

Inquiries have been made to Miley Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Tish Cyrus-Purcell for comments.
