Viewers of Stranger Things have been intrigued after identifying an editing mistake in one of the latest episodes.
It’s been an exciting period for enthusiasts of the popular Netflix series as it embarks on its fifth and concluding season, nearly a decade after its debut.
The narrative centers on ‘The Party’ and their associates in the town of Hawkins, Indiana, as they contend with supernatural dangers from the menacing Upside Down, a shadowy realm existing alongside their own.
Stranger Things has gained immense popularity due to its blend of suspense and horror, along with countless nods to the 1980s culture, films, and visual styles.
Following current trends, the final season has been divided into several parts, with the first installment airing on November 26, the second on Christmas Day, and the finale arriving on New Year’s Eve.

However, perceptive fans recently noticed something unusual in a particular scene.
In a scene featuring Will (Noah Schnapp) and Robin (Maya Hawke) in ‘Chapter Two: The Vanishing of Holly Wheeler,’ some brightly-colored tape markers briefly appear on the ground, which caught viewers’ attention.
Admittedly, it’s a fleeting moment that could be easily overlooked or mistaken for forest debris if given the benefit of doubt.
A TikTok user shared a video highlighting the oversight, accompanied by the caption: “Oh no not the orange and blue electrical tape scene markers.”
Yet, some individuals responded unexpectedly and somewhat nostalgically to this apparent error.
One person commented: “It’s low key nice seeing human error in the age AI,” highlighting the challenges of discerning reality in today’s world.
Another shared: “I love seeing s**t like this.”
Others appreciated the glimpse behind the scenes, with one saying: “I actually like catching little details like this to remind myself it’s a show.”
Additionally, someone humorously speculated about the incident, feeding into the numerous theories surrounding Stranger Things.

“I just know someone out there is making an entire theory about those pieces of spike tape,” they quipped.
Even the most popular shows aren’t immune to continuity and editing glitches, and this one seems relatively minor in comparison.
The incident drew parallels with Game of Thrones, where a coffee cup was inadvertently left in a scene.
One viewer noted: “At least it’s not like when Game of Thrones left a Starbucks cup on the table.”
Nothing breaks the fantasy quite like grabbing a coffee amidst dragon skirmishes.
Netflix has been contacted for comment.
