Who is white nationalist Nick Fuentes, who labeled Hitler ‘f**king cool’ in a Piers Morgan interview

Nick Fuentes, a white nationalist, has sparked outrage once more after using a racial slur and praising Hitler as ‘cool’ on television.

Fuentes, 27, is an American political commentator well-known for his far-right white nationalist views and frequent involvement in controversies.

His program America First is known for promoting a mix of Christianity and white supremacy, with content that often reflects misogynistic, anti-LGBTQ+, and antisemitic sentiments, including Holocaust denial.

Recently, Fuentes made inflammatory and offensive statements during an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan. Morgan probed Fuentes on his racially charged ideologies, his historical admiration for Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, and his opinions about women.

In the segment aired on Monday (December 8), Fuentes described Hitler as ‘f***ing cool’ and was pressed on why he admired ‘the most genocidal monster of the last 150 years’.

“My generation, we’re just done with the pearl clutching,” Fuentes responded, smirking as Morgan questioned him further.

“He murdered 12 million people,” Morgan stated on his show, Piers Morgan Uncensored. “What is very f***ing cool about that?”

Fuentes replied: “The edits. It’s just cool. The uniforms. The parades.

“It’s cool. As a guy, you look at World War Two, and it’s fascinating.”

While asserting that ‘no one is in favor of genocide’, Fuentes insisted his views aren’t ‘that deep’, claiming that Americans have been ‘browbeaten’ with Holocaust narratives to prevent them from being ‘too white and too proud and too Christian’.

Fuentes showed little concern about being labeled a racist, arguing that white people should distance themselves from Black people, even quoting his self-declared ‘hero’, antisemitic rapper Kanye West, which included the N-word.

Regarding his views on women, he argued that women should not have equal rights and claimed that the Catholic Church would agree with denying them the right to vote.

Despite stating he is attracted to women, he added, “I will say that women are very difficult to be around.”

The conversation continued beyond the interview, as Morgan took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to assert that Fuentes ‘literally admitted he’s a racist’.

“I didn’t have to ‘gotcha’ him – he’s proud of it,” Morgan responded to criticism about his interview.

The heated interview follows Fuentes’ decision to leave Boston University amid backlash over his links to a Unite the Right rally in Virginia.

Since starting his live-streaming show in 2017, Fuentes has gained notoriety in far-right circles, attracting followers known as ‘Groypers’ who engage in trolling his adversaries.

In the so-called ‘Groyper War’, Fuentes and his followers targeted Turning Point USA and its late founder, Charlie Kirk, who was murdered in September this year, with provocative inquiries about immigration and Israel.

Fuentes is also alleged to have been involved in the January 6 Capitol riot, though he was not charged with any crimes, and even dined at Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence with West in November 2022.

However, in 2024, he launched ‘Groyper War 2’ against Trump’s presidential campaign and is a vocal critic of the former Republican president.

In a March episode of America First, he stated: “Jews are running society, women need to shut the f*** up, Blacks need to be imprisoned for the most part, and we would live in paradise.

“White men need to run the household, they need to run the country, they need to run the companies. They just need to run everything, it’s that simple,” which New York Times reporter Michelle Goldberg noted as a concise summary of his views.

Fuentes has been banned from almost every social media platform and e-commerce provider for violating hate speech policies.

When his X account was briefly reinstated, he was banned again within 24 hours for praising Hitler, the Unabomber, and stating ‘Jews run the news’.

Elon Musk later reinstated Fuentes’ account, citing free speech, despite disagreeing with Fuentes’ statements.
