A rumored conflict within the Beckham family has apparently been developing over the years, with soccer icon David and former pop star turned designer Victoria’s relationship with their son Brooklyn reaching a new low.
The speculation of a family disagreement was seemingly confirmed when it was noticed that Brooklyn, 26, and his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, were no longer being followed by David and Victoria on Instagram.
However, it seems that instead of the parents unfollowing their son, Brooklyn and Nicola might have blocked David, 50, and Victoria, 51. Cruz, their youngest son, addressed the situation on social media, revealing the harsh reality.
“NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I,” Cruz stated.
The first sign of tension between Brooklyn, Nicola, and his parents became evident earlier this year at David’s birthday celebration.
In April, the Beckham family celebrated David’s 50th birthday with a series of lavish parties, yet Brooklyn and Nicola were noticeably absent from the festivities.
An insider told People that the couple was invited but did not attend, adding: “The relationship is definitely not beyond repair. They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.”
Other reports suggested that Brooklyn and Nicola might have traveled from Beverly Hills to London for the birthday event, but avoided attending due to one of the guests.
Romeo, their 23-year-old son, had brought his girlfriend, DJ Kim Turnbull, to the party. A source revealed that Brooklyn was uncomfortable around Turnbull and chose to stay away.
They said: “Brooklyn didn’t want to be in the same room as her, and he told his dad that… but David opted to have Kim there over Nicola.”
Another source agreed, stating: “Brooklyn and Kim know each other from the past, and his family knows he’s not comfortable around her.”

Cruz also dismissed this claim, stating on social media that ‘Brooklyn and Kim never dated.’ Another source confirmed to PEOPLE, explaining the family’s challenges.
They mentioned that Brooklyn and Nicola stayed in London for six days attempting to see David privately, but were unsuccessful. In August, David and Victoria’s absence at their son’s vow renewal ceremony seemed to validate the ongoing issues.
Tensions may have originated before the couple’s 2021 wedding, when Nicola suggested wearing a gown designed by Victoria for the ceremony.
A source said, ‘Victoria told Nicola that she’d love to make her wedding dress, and Nicola said it would be her honor,’ but when Nicola chose not to wear one of Victoria’s designs, rumors of a rift arose.
Nicola later clarified to Variety: “I was going to [wear Victoria Beckham] and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress. She didn’t say you can’t wear it; I didn’t say I didn’t want to wear it. That’s where it started, and then they ran with that.”
David and Victoria have not publicly commented, with an insider expressing the family’s sorrow, noting: “As ever the Beckhams have stayed above it all despite constant attacks through the media. It’s sad as they love their son and they have all tried so hard with Nicola but it’s become impossible.”
