Chrissy Teigen unexpectedly loses front tooth due to candy cane mishap

Chrissy Teigen has disclosed that she experienced an unfortunate mishap with a candy cane, resulting in a lost tooth.

As the festive season reaches its peak and Christmas Day approaches, the 40-year-old model finds herself in a somewhat comical predicament reminiscent of a Nightmare Before Christmas moment.

The mother of four revealed that she had a dental accident involving a candy cane.

While assisting her children—Luna, 9, Miles, 7, Esti, 2, and Wren, 2—in a magical candy-growing activity using crushed Oreos, Teigen intended to replace the small candy canes with larger ones overnight to create the illusion of them ‘growing’.

However, by the third day, the plan took an unexpected turn.

“Candy cane growing,” she described in an Instagram video, while sheepishly covering her face. “I tried to open one of these bad boys, and my tooth fell off.”

Amidst her laughter, a noticeable gap in her smile became apparent due to the missing tooth.

“It’s a veneer. I have the whole piece,” she then displayed to the camera. “This is what moms do for their kids, so you can think you grew a candy cane.

“I was trying to create magic, now I have no tooth, and tomorrow’s the winter sing, so,” she chuckled.

In a subsequent clip, the television personality demonstrated that the incident didn’t deter her from attending the ‘winter sing’ event or her children’s school recital.

The video concluded with a slideshow of Teigen’s selfies showcasing her missing tooth and the fully grown candy canes, set to the tune of Bruno Mars’ song, ‘Just the Way You Are.’

“Merry chrithmath from our family to yours!!!!!!!,” she humorously captioned the post.

Fortunately, Teigen later shared on her Instagram Stories that her toothless episode was short-lived, announcing she’s ‘back in business’ with a new veneer.

“Was cool to say hi to my old tooth for a while,” she added.

Her husband, John Legend, quickly joined in on the humor, responding with three crying laughing emojis in the comments.

Many others joined in with jokes and praise, referencing the classic Christmas tune, ‘All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth’, while appreciating Teigen’s candidness and sense of humor.

“So brave Chrissy, thanks for sharing a good laugh with us,” commented one fan.

“I swear I love you! This is hilarious! Your kiddos are going to enjoy looking back at your content! I enjoying watching them grow!” another added.

A third remarked: “I love how real your motherhood posts are. Because it is not for the weak! Lol.”
