A video of Charlie Kirk making some awkward remarks about Nicki Minaj has reemerged online after the rapper unexpectedly attended a recent Turning Point USA event.
The video has attracted new interest following the ‘Starships’ singer’s surprise guest appearance at an event in Phoenix, Arizona, on Sunday (December 21).
The 43-year-old made an unexpected entrance, joining the stage for a Q&A with Erika Kirk, the widow of the late conservative activist.
Charlie Kirk, a father of two, was tragically killed while engaging with questions at a Turning Point USA event in September.
Authorities arrested Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old from Utah, two days after the 31-year-old’s passing, charging him with seven counts, including aggravated murder and witness tampering.

During her attendance, Minaj became the center of a viral incident after she mistakenly praised Vice President JD Vance as an ‘assassin’ in a well-intentioned comment about President Donald Trump’s closest ally.
In light of Minaj’s mishap, Kirk’s previous remarks about her have resurfaced, creating an awkward situation.
The video, recorded during a previous event, features Kirk discussing what he perceived as problems within contemporary Black culture.
In the footage, he states: “Right now, Black culture is being held captive by influencers, songs and role models.”
When asked for clarification, Kirk further elaborated: “I mean, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B.”

The conversation then takes an uneasy turn as Kirk is directly questioned about his statements.
When challenged with, “Okay, Nicki Minaj is causing dads to leave the home?” he replies: “I don’t think that’s a good role model for Black 18-year-old girls. I don’t.”
This doesn’t reflect well for the rapper!
Regarding Minaj’s slip on stage, Kirk’s widow responded with understanding.
“Trust me, there’s nothing new under the Sun that I have not heard so you’re fine,” the 37-year-old widow remarked.
Speaking warmly to Minaj, she added: “Yes, we did, I love you; I love you.”
Erika continued: “You have to laugh about it. Truly, I have been called every single thing, and you know what God is so good, you let it roll right off your back – and this is what’s so beautiful about this moment, because if the internet wants to clip it, who cares?
“I love this woman, she is an amazing woman. She has a soul and a heart for the Lord, and words are words, but I know her heart and it doesn’t even matter – and you say what you want to say because I know your heart – and I do not judge that.”
