‘Fresh’ Netflix Show Receives ’10/10′ Acclaim as it Climbs Most-Watched Charts

A new Netflix series has soared up the most-watched charts and is being praised as the perfect show to enjoy during the downtime between Christmas and New Year.

We’ve entered that time of year when days blur together, time seems irrelevant, and everyone is searching for something entertaining to watch.

Netflix offers a plethora of TV series options, but selecting the right one can be daunting.

The miniseries in question has shot up the global streaming charts after its release on Boxing Day (December 26).

It currently ranks as the fourth most-watched show globally on Netflix, trailing behind Stranger Things, Emily in Paris, and Rowan Atkinson’s Man Vs Baby.

Set in Seoul, South Korea, this superhero drama follows Kang Sang-woong (Lee Jun-ho), an average civil servant concerned with saving for a home and planning a stable future with his long-term girlfriend.

His tranquil life is disrupted when he unexpectedly inherits superpowers—such as superhuman strength and near-invulnerability—from his father.

However, there’s a catch: Sang-woong’s powers only function when he carries physical cash, and using them costs money instantly. The greater the power used, the higher the financial toll.

What starts as a strange inconvenience quickly evolves into a moral quandary, forcing Sang-woong to balance protecting others with securing his financial future.

Sang-woong becomes part of a secretive world of other superhumans whose abilities come with their own peculiar limitations.

Among them is Byeon Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), a sharp-tongued lawyer whose powers activate with alcohol, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), whose telekinesis depends on her caloric consumption.

Meanwhile, his relationship with accountant Kim Min-sook (Kim Hye-jun) faces challenges as his secret life begins to interfere with real-world obligations.

The series is named Cashero, and it’s based on the popular Kakao webtoon of the same name.

One IMDB user rated it a 10/10, describing it as a ‘fresh concept with great performance by hero and villain’.

“What an awesome series to watch at the end of 2025. The role portrayed by Lee Chaemin – you deserve an award,” they added.

“I watched this series two times and I’m still watching.”

Another viewer agreed: “The acting and directing were phenomenal, with great character development too. Chemistry was perfection.”

“I didn’t even realize how much time had passed while binge-watching it,” a third viewer mentioned.

One more fan of the ‘action-packed production’ commented: “10 stars and millions of thumbs up.”

Cashero is now available for streaming on Netflix.
