Additional Teen Girl Goes Missing During Search for Texas Teenager Disappeared on Christmas Eve

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office in San Antonio is seeking assistance in finding missing teenager Angelique Johnson, who was reported missing by authorities on Christmas Day, a day following the disappearance of Camila Mendoza Olmos.

On December 25, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that 17-year-old Johnson was last seen in the 130 block of Exeter Place, near Potranco Road on San Antonio’s northwest side.

According to police, Johnson still possesses her cell phone, but her location remains unknown.

Johnson has been described as standing 5’10” tall, weighing 198 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Sheriff’s Office states: “If you have information regarding Angelique Johnson’s whereabouts, call the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office at (210) 335-6000 or email the BCSO Missing Persons Unit at [email protected].”

Johnson’s case is one of three incidents of teenagers going missing around Christmas, with 14-year-old Sofia Gabriela Peters-Cobos being reported missing on December 29 after she left her home and didn’t return.

Fortunately, on December 30, police updated that Peters-Cobos had been found ‘alive and well’.

The search continues for Camila Olmos, who disappeared on Christmas Eve morning. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office revealed on December 30 that a body was discovered during the search for Olmos, but it’s too soon to say if the remains are hers.

The body was located in an area of tall grass, not far from Olmos’ home, with a firearm also found nearby.

Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar mentioned that there is currently no suspicion of murder.

During a news conference, Salazar remarked: “We’re processing the scene, and we hope to have more information to release as soon as we’re able, the area in question is probably about, I’d say, as the crow flies, about a quarter of a mile from here and probably a few 100 yards from her actual residence.”

The sheriff noted that the discovered body appears to have been in the area for around five or six days.

The medical examiner is now tasked with identifying the body and determining the cause of death.

Although the three teenagers went missing in close succession, authorities have stated that no connection between the cases has been confirmed.
