Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie has been actively seeking assistance in locating his sister, Christina Lynn Downer, who has been missing.
A post appeared on her Instagram account on December 14, even though the 38-year-old has not been observed since November 26.
Authorities report that Downer was last spotted in Los Angeles’ Koreatown area.
She is described as standing 5ft1in tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. An official missing persons investigation is underway as efforts to find her continue.
The Los Angeles Police Department is requesting any information, as loved ones expressed concern stating it is unusual for her to disappear and become unreachable.
Reports indicate that Downer’s Instagram account showed a picture of herself with a holiday-themed caption.

The caption read: “Living life in peace. If you wanna send me a Christmas treat I’ll be waiting. Happy holidays everyone.”
The photo isn’t recent, as it was originally posted by Downer in June and saved as a highlight on her profile.
Her family is concerned that this social media activity might not be authentic, suspecting that someone else may be responsible for posting it instead of her.
SNL writer Fowlie mentioned that the LAPD advised him not to discuss the Instagram post to avoid jeopardizing the investigation.
He also made an online plea for the public to help find his sister.
“My sister is still missing. This is not like her, she’s never gone off the grid like this,” Fowlie emphasized in his post.

He noted that Downer is seldom without her miniature pinscher, Rex, and added: “If you see her, chances are he’d be with her.”
The family is collaborating with the police, maintaining hope for her safe return.
Fowlie also encouraged people to email him if they wish to join the search efforts.
He expressed gratitude to friends, family, and fans who have been distributing missing posters and assisting in the search.
Actor Evan Williams and Bravo reality star Scheana Shay also showed their support for the family online.
Fowlie has been part of the SNL team since 2022, and has contributed to projects such as A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter among others.
