David Beckham appears to have attempted to address recent rumors by sending a heartfelt New Year’s message to his son, Brooklyn, amid claims that he had been blocked by him on Instagram.
For several months, speculation about a rift between David, Victoria Beckham, and their eldest son, Brooklyn, has been widespread. The family hasn’t been seen together since the 2024 Christmas holidays.
Brooklyn, who is married to Nicola Peltz, was notably absent from David’s 50th birthday celebrations earlier in 2025, and it was soon noticed by online observers that he no longer follows his parents on Instagram.
There were rumors that David and Victoria may have unfollowed Brooklyn, but Cruz Beckham, another one of their children, clarified that they were actually blocked by him.
“NOT TRUE,” Cruz wrote. “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son.. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”
David recently caught attention when he shared a 2025 recap filled with pictures of friends and family, but none included Brooklyn.
However, he seems to have addressed this omission by posting photos of all his children on his Instagram story, including a nostalgic black and white image of just him and Brooklyn.
The photo appears third in a series that starts with the message: “I’m so grateful for my family I love you all.”
“I’m so lucky to have my amazing family,” David continues, and adds a personal note on the photo with Brooklyn: “I love you all so much.”
David concludes with: “I’m a very lucky Daddy.”
He ended his New Year’s message with an older photo of Victoria with all their children, writing: “You are my life. I love you all, love Daddy x On to 2026.”
Although David didn’t include Brooklyn in his 2025 Instagram feed post, he hinted at all his children in the caption, celebrating the unforgettable moments of that year.
“From my 50th to my knighthood (still pinching myself) and then finishing with winning the MLS as an owner, I’m so grateful to my incredible wife, my amazing children, my friends and team I work with every single day nothing would have been possible without you all…,” he wrote.
