Trump Boasts About ‘Acing’ His Third Consecutive Cognitive Test Amid Health Concerns

Donald Trump has once again addressed the topic of his health, claiming that he ‘aced’ his third cognitive exam, a statement he had already made several weeks prior.

On January 2, the former President took to Truth Social to share the news. He wrote: “The White House Doctors have just reported that I am in ‘PERFECT HEALTH,’ and that I ‘ACED’ (Meaning, was correct on 100% of the questions asked!), for the third straight time, my Cognitive Examination, something which no other President, or previous Vice President, was willing to take,”.

He went on to add, “P.S., I strongly believe that anyone running for President, or Vice President, should be mandatorily forced to take a strong, meaningful, and proven Cognitive Examination. Our great Country cannot be run by ‘STUPID’ or INCOMPETENT PEOPLE! President DJT.”

This announcement is not the first time Trump has claimed to have passed his cognitive exams with flying colors. He previously boasted about his performance on December 9.

This has left some critics questioning whether he has taken yet another exam or if he was simply reiterating his previous achievement.

In his December 9 post, Trump wrote about his hard work since returning to office, stating, “There has never been a President that has worked as hard as me!”

He also mentioned achieving ‘PERFECT Marks’ during the ‘long, thorough and very boring Medical Examinations’ at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Trump continued by saying, “In addition to the Medical, I have done something that no other President has done, on three separate occasions, the last one being recently, by taking what is known as a Cognitive Examination, something which few people would be able to do very well, including those working at The New York Times, and I ACED all three of them in front of large numbers of doctors and experts, most of whom I do not know.”

He noted, “I have been told that few people have been able to ‘ace’ this Examination and, in fact, most do very poorly, which is why many other Presidents have decided not to take it at all,” he added.

A cognitive exam is designed to evaluate a person’s mental functioning, involving simple tasks and basic questions.

This assessment typically measures skills in areas such as attention, decision-making, judgement, language, learning, reasoning, understanding, and memory.

The Cleveland Clinic states that cognitive exams generally fall into three categories.

· A 15-minute test requiring the memorization of a word list, identifying objects in pictures, and copying shapes.

· A 10-minute test that includes counting, object identification, and other common knowledge questions.

· A three-minute test that involves recalling a list of three unrelated words and drawing a common object.

Healthcare providers often recommend cognitive exams if there is a concern about cognitive decline.

These tests can help assess memory issues, language difficulties, or challenges with tasks that were once simple.

Regardless of the presence of a known health condition affecting cognition, individuals over the age of 65, such as the 79-year-old Trump, are encouraged to undergo routine cognitive testing for monitoring purposes.

This recommendation is due to the natural changes in brain function that occur with aging.
